What Time Is It There? - Tsai Ming-Liang might be breaking into my top five favorite elite directors now.

The Wayward Cloud - This was almost as good as What Time is it There? but the end was surprisingly disappointing. Still, Tsai Ming-Liang has officially become one of my ELITE FAVORITE directors.

Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult

Wasn't really paying attention at this. So I guess technically, it was the second one.

Hana-Bi - Often called Takeshi Kitano's masterpiece, though I probably slightly prefer Sonatine. A much more sullen film than I was expecting, but still easily the most poetic crime film I've ever seen. Kitano just plain rocks.

Highlander II: The Quickening. I watched it sometime in April, I think. It was pretty bad (at least the version I watched), but it was waaay better (at least in my opinion) than Highlander: The Source (which I only watched because Methos).
I liked the scene in the church, and I just loved Virginia Madsen.

Next up, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People and Severance!
There be pheasants and penguins and booberry trees between the greenest of skies and the whitest of seas

I finally saw WALL-E. Wow. I heard a lot about it, but I honestly didn't expect it to be that good. The protagonists were loveable even though they barely "spoke", the music was great, the future vision of a garbage-covered Earth and fat people on floating chairs is grim but prognostic. This movie's also probably the most dawwwwwwwww Pixar film to date. I loved it. 5/5.

Ponyo - This one might be up there with Totoro. I recommend this film to everyone... except for all the people who think that art is supposed to be "realistic."

Tae Guk Gi - Pretty good overall, but changed dramatic tones way too quickly. Should have left more time for transitions. Considering the film's commercial gloss, I don't think the dramatic changes in tone were intended to make the film more "realistic."

Dr. Robotnik is awesome in that one.

Last one I saw was Shaun of the Dead. Hilarious. I especially liked the "Don't Stop Me Now" bit. 9/10

Watched The Host a second time. Liked it a lot more than the first, especially since I knew it was supposed to have a lot of humor in it. Anything that stars Bae Doona and Song Kang-Ho and is directed by Bong Joon-Ho has to be worth a second viewing, right?
