Boo the 'world-class life coach' guy.
Make sure it's a weird pizza. Some places got extravagantly bizarre menus. About rather kill myself than eat barbecue chicken pizza or the alfredo white pizza kind (those sound absolutely revolting). But, like, if you've never tried thai peanut variety, or tikka masala version, either one might just make you a believer, kitten, don't you doubt me.
BBQ chicken is definitely good but I was initially repulsed by the notion as well.

I'm not much for dessert. Not the ooey-gooey hot kind anyway----------it's decadent. Give me a grapefruit or a Zagnut or something. Pulparindo. Couple shortbread cookies. Nothing at all. You know, something nobody but me likes.
^^ You don't like desert pizza, either?
No. Too much sand, cactus and cow skulls, not enough anchovies. (Hah. Ahahaha.)

I am sorry to interrupt this prime pizza conversation bc pizza is important and delicious, but I'm finally doing my Steven Universe homework and can I just say this was the best exchange ever:
Steven, using an N64 controller to control a blaster / fend off gem mutants: "something doesn't feel right about this."
Peridot: "THEN USE THE D-PAD??"
I believe in second chances, and that's why I believe in you.

Officially caught up on my SU.
Loved the giant fusion battle, loved Peridot in episode 2 (when she's acting out of genuine concern and not being a remarkably spot-on rendition of an over-zealous 12-year-old), loved Lapis. The scenes with her and Steven flying around were really well done, so were the scenes with the Cluster; I love it when the show is just so visually and musically pleasing.
I can't stop thinking about how Steven Universe is pretty much exactly a feminist Dragon Ball Z AU. I'd really like to see Fusion in DBS considered slightly more complexly, like it is in SU. oh well there's always fanfiction 8)

Man. No doubt this will sound asinine. But I just rewatched 'Super Watermelon Island', and that moment when Steven rallies the watermelon folk to help Alexandrite fight Malachite...it actually made me tear up a little. Like, it was really stirring, and heartwarming, despite the absurdity of the scenario.

^Man. I tried be patient and wait, but I watch Youtube to fall asleep, and the promo clips for 'Hit the Diamond' were goofy and adorable, and (natch) people'd already uploaded the full eps by the time I got home from work. I was weak.
'Barn Mates' and 'Hit the Diamond' felt much more like one big episode than two small ones ('Super Watermelon Island' and 'Gem Drill' did, too, come to that). I like that, but it's bound to make syndication a little weird.
Really cute, fun episodes. No spoilers. Nice to have a few fun eps right in a row after the tension of the Peridot redemption/Cluster arc.
Still intend to support the official release, though (like what else am I going to DVR, 'Wheel of Fortune' or somethin).
[EDIT: S3E6-------'Steven Floats' got leaked, too. Feel free to guess whether I had the willpower to resist watching that, too.
In for a penny, in for a pound, man. I'm lame. Episode was pretty good, though.]

SO THE OTHER DAY I WAS WATCHING A TWITCH STREAM AND WAS INTRODUCED TO THE SM64 "GREEN DEMON CHALLENGE" FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER
Basically, a runner goes into a level that has a 1up you can spawn at the top of a tree or pole or something, that follows you once you spawn it to make sure you get the life. The challenge goes that after you summon the 1up, you then have to collect all 8 red coins and the star before the 1up catches you. In practice, it is both HILARIOUS AND TERRIFYING.
The streamer I was watching is a speedrunner, and he chose really good levels and was playing with someone else with lots of fun house rules, so it was extremely entertaining to watch. 10/10. I tried watching some other vids of the challenge on youtube after but for some reason the main hit on YouTube is these 3 dudes who aren't that good at the game and the camera shows more of the dudes than the gameplay and they weren't that interesting to watch, so not sure why that was so popular.

i watched foodfight!, which definitely deserves its awful reputation. terrible animation, terrible jokes, and an uncomfortable plot for a children's movie that basically says "buying brand name foods is great and if you buy generic brand things you're a nazi"
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes
