DBZ is made of dumb names though. That's what made it special.
you know, i hated joffrey's filthy, festering guts------i hated him, the puking stick-thin blonde little ninny

but i was a little sorry to see him go

it was a bit like when caligula died in 'i claudius'------the sumbitch deserved death, god knows he did, and yet i almost felt more pity than spite at the end

almost

almost
Just finished S4.

Don't know if I'll be watching S5. Characters I like even a little are thin on the ground these days.

(Also the end of Ep 4.8 was one of the most horrific things I've ever seen in anything ever. I can do with less of that already, thank you.)

I don't know, I was fine with it. Maybe because it's Game of Thrones and I expect the worst naturally.

Yeah, that was as gruesome as anything I've seen. The show kicked the violence up a notch from the book.

^^...or maybe you've just got the devil in your soul

i knew you were trouble when you walked in

^^^...I don't know how to answer that question. Against all odds, I haven't compiled a 'horror I experience whilst observing screen violence' Richter Scale.

I dunno, I was watching and I knew something bad was going to happen, but I was still taken aback a little bit by just how gruesome it was.

You really need to get on that "horror scale" creating, Boo. Mine's set-up:

1: Someone dies somehow

10: Can't say here.

Boo's Richter Scale of Acceptible Violence

0 (control-calibration): Ponies have conflict-free picnic on nice sunny day
1: Popeye punches skeleton so hard that it flies across the room, smashes into pieces, and amusingly reconstitutes into birdcage
2: Moe blonks Curly on the head with sledgehammer----Curly goes 'owww owww owww oh look' and points at head of hammer which is now all bent and distorted
3: Godzilla picks up Barugon by tail, swings him around and around by it like olympian hammer-thrower, and hurls him into bunch of plastic building models
4: Elmer Fudd shoots Daffy Duck right in face----when smoke clears, Daffy's bill has been blown clear around to other side of his head, and Daffy twists it back around to front with sigh of exasperation
5: During saloon brawl in old-timey western, good guy sheriff socks one of Black Bart's gang in jaw, causing him to slide down bar amusingly
6: Comical series of mishaps causes Dick Dastardly to catch bomb he had thrown at other Wacky Racer----it explodes, reducing his car to battered jalopy and leaving him and Muttley seriously soot-blackened
7: Scooby and Shaggy encounter ghost (shaped like spoooooky glowing suit of armour)----they exclaim 'zoinks' and run away, and ghost gives chase, moaning
8: Rowdy Roddy Piper hits Hulk Hogan on head with steel chair, stunning him temporarily
9: Megazord strikes one of Rita Repulsa's giant monsters with sword, sending up dazzling spray of sparks and sending creature tumbling back
10: Jackie Chan makes creative use of environment to beat up group of generic thuggish eviltons and then runs off, leaving them groaning on floor in pain
11: George of Jungle neglects to adequately watch out for tree
12: Members of GI JOE fire lasers out of their M-16s at and around hostile COBRA forces, causing them to retreat without casualties
13: Marx Brothers grow annoyed with Margaret Dumont's loud singing and throw oranges at her
14: Ewoks knock stormtroopers over and poke at them with sticks
15: Mach 5 slams into opposing automobile during race, causing it to spin wildly out of control, fly off track and explode
16: Sloth hurls Mama Fratelli off pirate ship, then laughs victoriously

Anything higher than that and I just start barfing, like, forever and ever.

Your tolerance seems, how do I say...non-existent. More or less.
