Linguistically not exactly timeless (re: "awkward; no, i'm awkward" and "that happened" along with other minor phrases that obviously became part of our modern phrase inventory within the last two years)
But this is true of any work of art, and sometimes it works. See: Shakespeare.

anyone else think that they should have casted Anna Faith Carlson as Elsa for Once Upon a Time Frozen, instead of Georgina Haig?

I haven't seen either actress in anything so I'm not sure of their talents, but all I know Anna Faith Carlson is that she looks a lot like Elsa, and acting is a lot more than looking a lot like a character
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

I just thought I would let everyone know that I was at an anime convention this past weekend and holy crap, I have never in my life seen so many Elsas

Basically, this:
^ Anna's vocabulary ((and more or less her entire demeanor)) felt a lot to me like the creators trying to be ~*hip and with it*~ tbh, probably part of the reason I kind of felt more embarrassed by her than connected to her as a character
However, to the writers' credit, I saw a lot of myself in her character. And yeah, Bolt, sometimes it does work...though many Shakespearian terms were actually coined by Shakespeare so they weren't in use by, well, any demographic as opposed to phrases I mentioned previously that were in Frozen that were already in use, but by one demographic (teens/young adults).

idk. I feel like that's something I wouldn't have noticed and/or cringed at if I hadn't studied lingustics haha
