The most widely recognised vampire, Count Dracula himself, could go outside into daylight just fine in the original book. The movie has him destroyed by sunlight, but that doesn't really change the fact that the original preference for "night only" vampire business was because they were thought to be reanimated corpses that would only walk the night to drink from their blood-filled prey whilst they slept. As no one ever saw these corpses leave their graves, it was assumed they must awaken at night. From there, popular media had adapted it to mean they can't go into sunlight, lest they burn to ashes. o_o

Yeah, Kil, I am. Nothing worth mentioning yet, just a few little publications here and there, but I'm working at getting my novels accepted through a publishing house. :]
Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself.

[knowitall]the original idea for a vampire being a corpse came up in mideivile days, during great plagues.People would get sick, someone would claim to have seen something,or for o reason at all sometimes(superstition I geuss) they would dig up the body of a usually recently deceased relative, open the cascet, and would hear a moaning noise. They assumed usually that it was the person moaning even though it was actually gasses leaving the body naturally during decomposition. This along with the fact that the dead bodies still had the hair and nails growing (another natural process) that led them to believe that the person was undead.*gasps for air just before falling to the ground with a blue face*

all my friends are hyping over it, myspace is hyping over it, even my teacher. i think it sounds horrible. i think it hypnotizes the people who watch it/ read it that its actually good. We have a schoolo website that displays all the books in our library and you can hold books if none are available. i held the first twilight book when the movie came out in theatres just to see how long it would take for me to get it. i still havent gotten notification that the book is there for me. this means that so many people before me have held it that i probably wont see the book til next year, literally. and there are, like, 4 copies of it in our library, too.

It is nearing the end of the school year. Nothing. Also, I just watched the movie and almost regurgatated. What was up with the running scene? Why the **** was Edward sparkling-how did that make sense, and why did Edward always go up and start a conversation with Bella and then tell her to stop trying to hang out with him. Overall- WTF????

" oh and Bella's Mom, what happened was my sister and her weird bf/brother were staying in a hotel a couple hundred miles away from where she was supposed to be, and she fell down the stairs and went through the window. That is why she is all banged up, has immense amount of blood loss, immensely deep bite marks and a couple hiccis. Don't worry, shell be fine.

I liked how the commercials before the release went something like "HEY YOU YOU LIKE TWILIGHT RIGHT SO HAVE A PARTY FOR TWILIGHT BECAUSE WE'RE SO COOL"

Not even ****ing Harry Potter had commercials.
saying "You should totally have a Harry Potter party"
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

^Also Harry Potter TV commercials don't have banner ads across the top of the screen.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
