Let's compare, shall we?
Sephiroth: A silver-haired girly-boy with separation anxiety who played the role of insane twit used by the real villain, who was a ****ing meteor. He is a bishounen character designed by a Japanese George Lucas and has the one redeeming quality of having a theme song moderately well composed by Nobuo Uematsu. Even that pales in comparison to Dancing Mad, quite literally the penultimate final boss theme. Sephiroth has a disproportionately long sword and speaks in horrible one-line 'badasseries' meant to thrill people the same way it thrills people when they hear a fart joke: the cheap way. He is a lame villain, and a lame character, whose two-dimensional idiocy leaps forth and pleasures only the weakest of minds.
Kefka: A well-layered, well-written character whose comedic value, paired with the fact that he is the true mastermind behind everything and nobody saw it coming, shows forth a deepness. He becomes a God in the end and is only beatable because the game had to be marginally possible so we could witness the ending. His theme song outshines Sephiroth's, and his design is by a master of masters. He is far more delightfully insane, and not in the prissy emo way Sephiroth is. Plus, he has a badass laugh sound effect.
I don't know about you, but I see a clear winner.

No One up what you need to play is FFVI Adanved. Or if you have it one of the FF anthology games for the old PS. FFIII for the DS is actuly the thrid game in the FF line the one that only JUST made it to US shores.
If I recall right the Nintendoland deathmatches were decided by a popularity pole not by the actule strength of the fighters, and because of pure hype FFVII had a bigger fanbase.

I didn't want to do this One up but you froced my hand. In KH1(and KH2 I think I'm not sure) Sephiroth's voice acting is done by Lance Bass a member of an overhyped boyband this removes what little cool factor that Sephiroth has.
The reason being that a prettyboy lip singer removes the cool factor of anything within a 50 meter raidus of where he stand. The only way they could have made Darth Vader any more lame is if they had Lance Bass do his voice acting in episode three.

Lol, reminds me of how lame Knuckles was in SA.Faceless One wrote:Knuckles beat Kefka in a GameFAQs character battle.
I think that says the following things:
-A lot of people are STUPID.
-Most people who vote on these things are choosing who they like more, not who would actually win. {ie: KNUCKLES IS KOOL, rather then, KNUCKLES COULD PUNCH KEFKA)

NU-UH. YOUR MOM IS GAY AND YOU SUXXORS AT FINAL FANTASY. Also, the ONLY thing that ruins Sephiroth is everything besides his badass appearance. He is kinda stupid but Kefka looks and as far as I have seen, IS stupid. Strength, sure, he's got it, but he is rediculous. A badass Final Fantasy boss is the one at the end of FF10. The others are fairly forgetable.M. Hercule Poirot wrote:.

I'm serious. You're wrong. Period. There is no opinion here, you're just wrong. No arguments, no attempts at redemption, you are a failure, a loser, and a shame to nerds everywhere.
And your mom is fat.
To address who can beat Kefka...I would have to say Ramza from Final Fantasy Tactics. He can be virtually any class and have 2 powers set so he can be a Knight/White Mage and then he can have items equipped that have abilities like Reflect built in. The combinations are nearly great, all he has to do is find the right one.
