I can see one of three things happening...

1: It's Seth's try to be racially acceptable.

2: It's some big prank and the first episode will just be Family Guy.

It hasn't even premiered yet.

^Ever since the fans convinced Fox to actually go ahead and un-cancel Family Guy, they treat everything MacFarlane gives them like it's gold.

I used to really like Family Guy, but not anymore. Not only has it become too political, but it's just the same old jokes over and over and over again. Peter is stupid, Meg is ugly, Stewie is gay, Joe is crippled, Brian wants to bang Lois, Quagmire wants to bang everybody, yadda yadda yadda. Learn a new tune already.

^The line isn't so much the problem. More regrettable is the evidence that MacFarlane really does believe that everyone who lives outside of a major city behaves that way.

Have you listened to any of his commentary tracks on the DVDs? He's not just trying to make people laugh with these stereotypes. There's a very obvious loathing there.

Speaking of that line I've only seen that episode once how close was I? Anyway I don't have Family Guy on DVD, though if I did it would be the first three seasons. Let's hope Seth gets his ass stranded in a small town in the midwest then I'd love to hear about him getting a taste of reality.

It's been in production for a while, but it's so close to syndication. I kinda have to agree about Beethoven's 9th Symphony though. It's corny as hell!

What I don't like about Family Guy is how much of an utterly stupid mess it's become. Seth must be some kind of master troll or something. Peter has been changed from a dull-witted-yet-well-meaning father figure to a dangerous retard. Meg is now inexplicably the family punching bag. Brian has become a megaphone for Seth's misguided political views (which I'm sort of surprised you haven't commented on, MMario), whose arguments make Seth look like a left-wing Chick Tract. Stewie has just become one big, unfunny gay joke. The whole show revolves around repetition jokes, gags that are "funny" because they last a long time, over-the-top and unfunny humor, Meg-bashing, and a poorly-veiled political agenda.

American Dad is tolerable, because Seth really has little to do with it.

You forgot that Lois became a Nympho, Chris became less inteligent, has a decreasing role and seems to be the only not pothead of the family. rape and insets jokes are on the upswing, Glen, Joe, and Cleveland have been reduced to one note reusible punchlines and so much more.
