The greytone is providing a big improvement in your contrast, man. And that word bubble with the bold outline, gradient, and the computer text is pretty tasty.
Despite what a pain it is, you're doing a decent job with the water. The context of the water fight is obvious to show what you intended. If you want it to be graphically resonant as water, the best I could suggest is you darken the water's background to a greytone where possible, and make the the water a lighter shade with white highlights. Obviously, you haven't given yourself a lot of space in the background where that's feasible, but lightening up the water is usually more effective than relying on blue. Rushed artists always go for the white on blue thing so they don't have to make it look like water, since it is now one of those strange cultural implications thanks to repeating media.
Also, I like Xingo's hair a lot more in the last 3 panels. Stick with the shiny white on that particular dark grey, even if that's supposed to be wet hair in this, that looks bomb!

A perpetual drafter is me.
^^^^ Computer text, you say? That's my handwriting. Either I'm misinterpreting something or I HAD YOU FOOLED BIG TIME. Also, too many anime artists already give all their characters an unnatural luster in their hair akin to those goddamn shampoo commercials. It's disgusting. [strike]I am not also justifying laziness on my part at all.[/strike]
^^^ DOHOHOHOHOHOHO
^ Same gag. Different punchline. People don't utilize water for slapstick often enough.

Sketchy: Tobei Rikuu
Smooth: Finis Rikuu

Ah, no I meant you wrote it with the tablet, because it's bold with an unvarying tone, and has a particularly wide stroke. The contrast and space distribution in the few word bubbles was great. It really helps the reader find the text effortlessly, because it sets it out from the rest of the image.Antisocial wrote:^^^^ Computer text, you say? That's my handwriting. The logical conclusion.
^^^^ Yeah, I'm aware of that. I was shooting for less funny and more "hay guyz i made a minecraft reference am i cool yet".

Loser: Hinigata To
Winner: Kel Norbison
Ombudsman: Deadpool
Nope.Auron wrote:Is it bad that I've seen so many creeper references lately that even though I've never played the game, I know exactly what's going on here?
