^I despise 'Lion King 1.5' or whatever. The sh*t one with excessive Timon and Pumbaa. My sister made me watch it with her because she's in league with the devil.
Timon and Pumbaa also got a show. Why do the comic relief characters keep getting their own shows?

I completely forgot about that one. It was awful. Wasn't it about 70% fart jokes?

Everybody seems to hate On Stranger Tides but I hate At World's End the most out of the Pirates movies. I should watch it again since it's been a while but I've seen it at least 5 times and it hasn't grown on me. It tries to epic but the plot is just so convoluted. The lengthy run-time doesn't help either. I like Dead Man's Chest the most because it was basically Jack Sparrow Asks People for Favors: The Movie - but I also hate the Will Turner/Elizabeth Swan story line. I actually really hate it. Like really hate it. It should have ended right then and there with the first Pirates movie. The bulk of the series should have been more about the misadventures of Jack Sparrow rather than some teenage star-crossed lovers. And judging by the trailer it looks like the next movie is going for that subplot again. Meh.
Why do you think so? I wouldn't say it's the worst.
This is hard -- but I really disliked Lilo and Stitch. Probably not the worst film though.
I haven't seen it but read about it. I certainly didn't like what I read and strongly disapprove of certain elements present in the film, enough that watching it would be pointless. I'd rather not delve into the particulars here to avoid dragging this off topic or running the risk of my post being deleted for no good reason (as is apt to occur), but suffice to say it boils down to moral issues.
Well, for starters...
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
So detail is irrelevant, is that the gist of what you're implying? I honestly think some of those events help bring life to films; on that list my favorite is the Ent extinguishing the fire on himself. The film could certainly function without it but it helps. Another similar event is Denethor's demise in his final scene...hm, I like people on fire in the background. Is that weird?
I know the angle you're going for to downplay the issue, but Condon is clear in saying that such "diversity" is "so important" and so then I'm clear in that it's equally important to me but for opposite reasons. Is that unreasonable, that I consider it a two-way street? I don't think so. What is "delicious" and "progressive" to him is distasteful and regressive in my opinion.
If you still have any doubt how important it is to its makers then know that Disney refuses to cut the scenes in question and instead indefinitely postponed the film in certain countries. For something which isn't a big deal it sure seems to be a big deal. Disney has censored stuff before, yet not this. How curious.
I'd have rather left this at "moral differences" and I don't think it's conducive to good conversation in this topic to dwell on this subject any longer. I'm not trying to be rude, I just don't want this to blow up. We know how this always goes.
