I came here because CL posted, but I see it's not about DBZ this time.
The Jungle Book: 8/10!! The low point of the movie was probably the sequence with the monkey king- that dragged on too long, long enough for me to be pulled out of the movie and go "huh this chase scene is taking forever are we done yet."
I feel like Christopher Walken was a bad choice. He's become such a ham------------all the other actors kind of vanished into the roles, but Christopher Walken was just playing himself. It was distracting.

Also, the dumb little nine-year-old Cub Scout in me winced when Akela got killed. That was unexpected.

^^ I felt the same way. That whole part of the movie with him was cringey. Loved the rest of it though

^Ohh, yeah, definitely. I mean, I can appreciate new takes on characters (like, I love Sterling Holloway as Kaa---------it's a radical departure from his vaguely benign Cheshire Cat/Winnie the Sh*t biz--------and yet I feel like Scarlett Johanssen brought something new and interesting to the role). Bill Murray brought something new to the table as Baloo---------he wasn't just trying to be Phil Harris, and I respect him for it. And, like, Idris Elba's take on Shere Khan was original--------------a different approach to the role, different from the Sanders version, the Tony Jay version from the sequel and games.

It just seemed like Walken wasn't trying at all. Like, I had to go to IMDB to learn that that was Ben Kingsley playing Bagheera----------sure as heck didn't have to go anywhere to figure out who was playin King Louie, here. Jeepers, man.

Man. Game Grumps made me like Rob Schneider.

They've just made a special episode where they played hell out of 'Mortal Kombat' with Rob and his wife, and...boy. He's really funny, and likeable. Don't know why that's surprising to me-----------he was on SNL and all, clearly he's a charismatic guy.

It's just easy to hate on him, I guess, like a lot of those SNL alums who wound up getting work primarily in sh*t Adam Sandler flicks. It's easy to forget he was funny for a living, like, on his own merits, back in the day.

^Thing is, he wasn't all that great on SNL either. There are plenty of performers who are lovely people, but still crappy performers.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

He was all right. Rather see him than Horatio Sanz or Chris Kattan, or that walking annoyance Tina Fey, tell you that much for free.

Watched 'Horse Soldiers' just now whilst waiting on plumber to replace busted water heater. Good movie, that one. Hadn't seen it in a while. Directed by John Ford. Starring John Wayne (natch) and William Holden.

DB Super - first part of vs. Golden Frieza. On one hand, I kind of missed Frieza. What an absolute piece of evil garbage. On the other hand, I hope this series focuses more on new antagonists (like Beerus and Whis, before they honored the DB tradition of becoming protags' friends,, which was great btw and not a bad thing) rather than living off of old hype, because as much as I love Frieza I can also always just go back and re-watch DBZ for more Frieza, ya feel.

although at least a villain got to be revived for once rather than just goku for the millionth time, so there's that.

Watched the following compilation-vid of one of my favourite cartoon characters, the Southern Wolf.

Created by Tex Avery. Frequent foil to Droopy Dog. Voiced by the same guy eventually went on to voice Huckleberry Hound. Nonchalant, easygoing character. I'm a big fan, man. He's really cool, and funny.

I saw a really cute video of a corgi trying to climb over this short little fence in a doorway. The corgi failed. It was really cute, he tried so hard.

I'm behind on my SU, fully intend to catch up soon. But I also need to catch up on Super (but I also kind of want to wait on that until the Future Trunks arc starts in June??). SO MANY SHOWS. SO MUCH NERDING TO DO. SO LITTLE TIME

Last thing I watched was the History of Trunks abridged version for probably the 800th time because I was having Trunks feelings per usu' and needed something to help me Deal. I love that special. It's definitely one of their best episodes, great mix of comedy but also #RealTalk.

^...c'mon, man. Like how 'so little time' do you have.

Episodes of SU are twelve minutes long. Weren't you caught up through the last Steven Bomb? If you were you could get caught up to today in less time than it takes to get a pizza delivered on a friday night, man.

My girlfriend recently got me into watching Dexter. I was skeptical that I would like it at first, but as of now I'm in love with the show. Binged half of it in a week, but now I gotta start watching more Game of Thrones too. Oh, and also I've been keeping up with Steven Universe. The last few episodes were great, CL, you'll love them.

The very last thing I watched was of some guy shooting people on Rust. Pretty great.

^^ So what you're telling me is I should order pizza, and then watch SU until it's delivered?

This.......... is a solid plan.

Boo the 'world-class life coach' guy.

Make sure it's a weird pizza. Some places got extravagantly bizarre menus. About rather kill myself than eat barbecue chicken pizza or the alfredo white pizza kind (those sound absolutely revolting). But, like, if you've never tried thai peanut variety, or tikka masala version, either one might just make you a believer, kitten, don't you doubt me.
