for sure. schumer would've been GREAT. poehler as well. louis c.k.'s style wouldn't work well with hosting I don't think. Like he could maybe be a contributor like Lewis Black does but that's the extent of it.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

Why didn’t Comedy Central apply strict scrutiny here? There are a few answers to that question that are obvious — but not if you are inside the progressive cultural bubble.
Comedy Central knows that Jon Stewart’s viewers are cheap dates. They are not very bright, and they are not very interested in the world around them. The function of The Daily Show is to flatter the prejudices of a certain segment of largely white and middle-aged metropolitan liberals. Daily Show viewers are not interested in original insight — indeed, the utterance of an original thought or the indulgence of an unpredictable angle of analysis would undermine the entire structure of the program. Daily Show viewers tune in so that they can be made to feel clever for continuing to believe the things they already believe. There is no reason to believe that Noah is going to fail to deliver those exceedingly modest goods.
Why is it drug addicts and computer afficionados are both called users?

For... what? You could actually read the article and not just what Kargath is quoting. He's cherry picking the whole of this person's argument, as big of a chunk it is.

I think it should be Trevor's comedic ability that is the deciding point, not his out of context tweets (And these tweets are from 4 years ago, Salon. A little late on the offended ball there) and it's not like controversial figures don't get to make entertainment anyway.

I'll get back to you when I watch a few stand-up videos of his.

Oh? What happened to "not blindly accepting articles"?

What happened to challenging your views?

Or is that no longer applicable when it's something you don't like?

You can read an article and not blindly accept it, just as you can choose to ignore a source of news and still agree with what they have to say. In this case it seems like everyone is just ignoring the main point to take a pot shot at Kargath's news source rather than discussing the matter at hand which I find more interesting.
