Elite Favorites:
Parks & Recreation
Daria
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Arrested Development
Neon Genesis Evangelion
The Simpsons (first ten seasons)
Others:
The Wire
The Office (both US & UK)
The Boondocks
Community
Cowboy Bebop
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (I probably wouldn't enjoy this as much today as I did way back when, but the fervor of which I liked it means I pretty much have to mention it)
Paranoia Agent
I've also begun watching Portlandia as of late, which I'm really enjoying so far. I should also really get around to watching more of 30 Rock one of these days.

I've never watched 'The Wire'. Heard good things, and I'm a big fan of HBO's original shows---I quite like 'Deadwood', 'Rome', and 'Boardwalk Empire' (also GoT like everyone and his grandmother else). Might could be I'd dig it.

Hey Shane, for reality shows, have you seen Solitary? I thought that one was pretty fun to watch.

^ omg I really loved solitary, but the first season was really the only good one, it went waaaaayyyyy downhill after. It was still entertaining but I hated the new voice and it was just way too different.

Never saw anything on Fox Reality. Free on Hulu, though. I'll check it out.
If you like The Mole, there's lots of stuff outside the US market that is worth watching. I don't know why the show never really caught on here. I'm currently watching the Dutch version (subtitled) on Youtube.
To me, you are the teacher in the Charlie Brown cartoon.

Yeah, definitely like The Mole. I've watched all of the US and UK, and half of the Aussie ones. I haven't tried watching any of the Dutch ones, but I know there's a lot of those too. I've hosted a forum game of The Mole on my site before too (I kinda want to host another one, but it's tricky to think of challenges that will work online).

Watched the first episode of Solitary. This interesting (and evil). I could do the whole solitary thing for a long time without any problems, but if you throw in deprivation and torture, I wouldn't even make it to the first treatment.

Girl Meets World is now actually a reality. The first couple years (middle school) of the original were the weakest, and Disney's potential to sanitize the series concerns me. Still, many of the original cast and crew are returning, so I'm interested in seeing how it turns out.

In my previous post I listed The Wire under "others."
Correction: The Wire is the greatest television show I have ever seen bar none and by several miles.

If anyone cares, 'Deadwood' is my favourite show in the world, bar none. Maybe just a matter of it being the perfect intersection of 'HBO show' and 'cowboy show'. The Old West is really, really compelling to me. Also, you know, the writing, the dialogue is excellent. I've heard people compare the dialogue in 'Deadwood' to Shakespeare, and not unfairly, neither. Perhaps a less opaque, swearier Shakespeare, but it's an apt comparison. Great acting, great writing, great worldbuilding. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Couldn't comment-----never saw 'Hell on Wheels'. Never watched any of them AMC shows, for that matter. I don't know. It feels as though network TV would be...I don't know...fettered, content-wise, in a way that your pay channels wouldn't be. Like, I can't imagine a 'Rome' or a 'Boardwalk Empire' appearing in its original state on network television. The very idea almost smacks of absurdity.

The sexuality and swearing is toned down, yeah, but TWD is the most violent and morbid show I've seen. Don't worry about it being held back much.
I'll check out Deadwood anyway, despite sounding like an old dude's medical issue.
