The Dark Knight isn't that great.

Yeah The Dark Knight isn't exactly Superhero Movie of the Year material. I know Harvey Dent is supposed to be more of a tragic figure but ehhhh, it was awkward when they turned Dr. Octavius into a real tragic guy (And mind you that was one of the parts I liked about Spiderman 2, making Doctor Octopus look badass rather than exercise-suit Moe) and it just gives a weird mix. I also hold firm belief still that Michael Keaton is the definitive Batman (Even Adam West could probably do a better job in the darker movies). Action sequences were exciting but kinda over the top sometimes. Also people complain the Tim Burton Batman deviated, here he beats the crap out of the Joker during the interrogation.

I said it before, though, Heath Ledger made one hell of a Joker. There is no comparison between him and Jack Nicholson, they both did outstanding jobs and portrayed the Joker in their own memorable ways. Only the Tim Burton version loses one point and that's for changing Bruce's backstory to fit the Joker in for a really stupid cliche.

Attack of the Clones is the movie that made me officially stop caring about the Star Wars franchise. I still haven't seen Revenge of the Sith, and judging by the bits and pieces I've seen on TV, I can't say I'm dying to see it any time soon.

As I mentioned earlier, though, having watched them again years later, I do still appreciate The Empire Strikes Back and the second half of Star Wars (I refuse to call it A New Hope because that's just some crap Lucas added four years later on re-release once it became a franchise and it's just a cheesy half-baked title anyway). My favorite Star Wars related movie though is actually Empire of Dreams, the very comprehensive retrospective documentary.

Heath Ledger wasn't playing Joker. He was playing "Emo tweaker clown crossed with a dog that has peanut butter stuck to the roof of its mouth."

I believe the best Joker has always been Mark Hamill. I'm not sure why they can't just put some make-up on him and have him do the physical acting instead of just voice overs.

Jack Nicholson was the best onscreen Joker, though

The Dark Knight is probably one of the best villain movies of all time. Bale's character portrayal of Batman feels too stiff and unrelatable for it to be the best superhero movie ever, but villain-wise it's up there with Silence of the Lambs.

Heath's Joker was having the time of his life though. Probably the last character I'd associate with the word emo.

Now that I've finally seen it, chalk The Dark Knight Rises up there as well. Predictable plot, Bane being kinda mangled in his characterization occasionally
Talia being the big bad even though THIS WAS THE GODDAMN PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO BRING RA'S BACK
Just didn't feel like it was the finale the series deserved. Whelp fortunately now that I have the entire Dark Knight Saga I can have a marathon.

Now I just need to find a copy of Batman Returns. Maybe a Blu-Ray of 1989 Batman.

Eh, anyone who looks like the new Dante or Dark Knight's Joker is emo in my book. Neither act like what may be considered "emo" and I am sure there's a more accurate tetm for their type, but thay're thrown in with the rest to me for now.

stereotyping based on vaguely associated appearances is the coolest

^ That's cool I do that too. For instance anyone who looks like a mexican is lazy. Black people are all robbers, unless they're in suits in which case they are rappers.

I am so world wise.

That's because it's not the finale the series deserved. It's the finale the series needs right now. So we'll pan it, because it can take it.

Because it's not our finale. It's a silent reduction. A humble bowing of the head for the legacy of the dark knight returns.

Are we really comparing thinking people are emo to racism?

Oh, and I didn't like Groundhog Day when I saw it a few years ago.

Are we really using collective pronouns for the sole purpose of condescension?

And is there a better kind of selfish stereotyping based on unrelated imagery and willful ignorance? Forgive me, I should've gone straight to Hitler comparisons to exercise the full strength of Godwin's law.

^ Protip: Porkins dies. Poor Porkins.

Also, I can find Star Wars entertaining but only really like Empire. Harrison Ford is the only constant that makes the films genuinely watchable to me. It did do well in that it didn't borrow too much of the hokey flash-gordon-esque imagery while it was claiming credit for practically every other pulp space sci-fi before it.

I really wish they had some medieval combat experts help with the fight choreography, more than anything.

Starkiller was a cooler name than Skywalker.

If I want a space-combat fix, I'll see to Star Fox 64, Descent or something Wing Commander-esque. I'd watch Star Wars from time to time, but the obnoxious characters are kind of a slog.

mfw I remember I can mute everything Hamill says or watch a better movie

That's cool I do that too. For instance anyone who refers to a female flight attendant as a stewardess I then consider sexist. All inaccurate labels are equal to racism/fascism and I draw extreme correlations between them.

I am so fair.
