They don't even need Sean Connery anymore, cause Harrison Ford can play his own dad now.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Alright, now that I've got that out of my system, what's all your anticipations about this film right now? What do you think it'll be like? Indy, twenty years older, fighting Soviets instead of Nazis? I myself am semi-interested in seeing how this turns out.

What's your thoughts?

Is this movie a prequel or a sequel?

^Well, considering Harrison Ford is still Indiana Jones and is 20 years older than he was when the last one was made...

Just got back from seeing it. It was good up until the last ten minutes, and then it kind of lamed out. Not a 'Star Wars prequels'-style disappointment, by any means, but not exactly a stirring triumph, either.

^ My thoughts exactly. I did enjoy it, however. It was definitely an enjoyable movie. :]

Arg! That was horrible. I mean, really, really, really disappointing. It was almost like a parody of itself.

And really, that was the worst, lamest, cheesiest ending I have ever seen.
Spoiler.
Aliens + Wedding = Dear Sweet Lord, Make It Stop. Please Make It Stop.
Bah. Very disappointing after all of the wait.-jay

^Heh. You know, I was just trying to remember the last time that seeing the Lucasfilm logo before a movie wasn't a harbinger of imminent disappointment--turns out it was 'Last Crusade'...

No kidding... Lucus really needs to stop. I mean, seriously. Someone needs to stop him. He can not write a movie script. He sucks. Horribly.

The sad thing is that his crappy movies keep making an ass-load of money, so he is under the false impression that he does not suck.

I think the really sad thing is that Lucas used to have it together, and then, say around 1995 or so, he just floated off the rails into Cloudcuckooland. "Yeah, 'Phantom Menace' is every bit as good as 'Empire Strikes Back'." It really could have been, too. Wasted potential, I call it.

Yeah, it really is hard to believe that the same person who was capable of Empire could make trash like the prequels... and now Indiana Jones 4.-jay

I'm not going to defend George Lucas, but you guys should at least cut the guy some slack.

The only terrible thing Lucas probably did with this film was veto Frank Darabont's script (I'm curious about how different it was).

It's not the best Indiana Jones film in the whole wide world, but at least it stuck to the familiar formula.

The only film to deviate from that formula (Temple of Doom) is also noted as being my least favourite of the series.

Oh, and Jay two things. George Lucas only came up with the story, David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Panic Room, Spider-Man) wrote the script. Also, the same can also be said about Empire Strikes Back (the script was written by Leigh Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan and the film was directed by Irvin Kershner)

I'd cut Lucas some slack if I thought he were a mediocre filmmaker.

Lucas will be cut no slack. His name is on the film, so he is ultimately responsible. It's Lucasfilms for crap sake. Not Koeppfilms.-jay

George Lucas = Biggest Disappointment of the Movie Brats

(Unless you actually had hopes for that ungodly overrated Brian DePalma)
