Well it'll be the most popular thing he's done aside from working on The Office and Arrested Development. I suppose he would be upset.

-munches on popcorn- maybe the ones that need to grow up are the ones that demanded the all-male cast version

^ Why? That's how Ghostbusters was supposed to be, unless it's an alternative universe/sequel with new characters type thing. If it's a reboot I don't really like it replacing characters.

I don't remember Ghostbusters having to include a Bill Murray character

this all-male one is **** ridiculous. they already have the first two which mind you are absolutely fine and did good enough

^ Everybody wanted a true trilogy and anybody whose opinion means anything wants Murray in.

^So Bill Murray's opinion doesn't mean anything? Because I don't think he really wants to do it.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

honestly, the fact we're getting two opens up the door to us getting even more in the future as a shared universe thing like the marvel studios movies. that's actually really awesome in my opinion, well as long as their both good. if they suck then I'll just nope out of the reboot universe and stick to the original two and the 360 game. as I said earlier I really don't care about gender in these movies as long as the actors are good and the movies don't suck.

So. Trailer ahoy.

Hard to judge something just from a trailer, but it looks a bit of alright.

At least it's not a reboot.

Trailer exhibited none of the series' charm and the CGI looks cheaper than the older ones.

I will watch it for the inevitable cameos alone, though.

Welp, I watched the trailer assuming people weren't liking it because of the cast, but uh... Wow, none of it was funny or looked good. Hope the movie itself is better, but I'm not going to count on it.

On the plus side, I do like the redesigned Ecto-1.

As someone who doesn't see many movies, that is what I would call a comedy movie trailer. It's almost impressive how many trailer tropes it hits.

Looks pretty dire.

^...yeah.

I mean, Winston was kind of the jobber of the group in the first two movies, but he wasn't an annoying stereotype. The script treated the character with respect.

So, are we entirely sure this isn't a complete series reboot? The trailer seems not to be sure its own self.

Like, the trailer refers to the events of the previous films at the start (although I'd personally question referring to it as 'four scientists' saving the day, which isn't strictly accurate, but whatevs). So you'd kind of think the Ghostbusters and their car would be iconic in-universe after saving the world twice, especially after being given the key to the city in GB2. You'd think the ghostbusting tech would be old hat. So why do we have characters reinventing the wheel as far as the technology goes, and why are the new crew all gobsmacked at the thought of driving around in a hearse? It seems wrong.

They all came off as annoying tropes imo.

Of all the problems with this trailer? Really? Not the acting? Script? Just...that there's only one black woman?

^Not that she's the only black woman, & not that she's playing a sassy type, but the mixture of the two.

I see, so "sassy black woman" is a stereotype and that is the issue. What is a white stereotype and is it present as well?
