The other day I was watching this with my phone on my morning bus ride. It made the day brighter.

So, uhh, what's the appeal to this cartoon?
Should I try and catch an episode sometime?

Might as well. You're clearly open to the idea of watching it---that's half the battle.
The appeal? Well, the animation is top-notch. Music is great. Clever writing and surprisingly strong characterisation. Most of all, I think it's just flat-out fun to watch.

I'm sure Mushman does.
Also, a lot of fans are complaining that he's not a supa srs villian like they were hoping for. Personally, though, I like the guy.

Mix and match.
I didn't expect Discord to be so goofy-looking.
Seems likable, though.

So, it's happening in just several hours. I need to find some way to watch it, since I don't get The HUB. Even if I did, I wouldn't be awake for it. Well, that's what YouTube bronies are for.
Also, Fluttershy is HotD. Just sayin'.

A mix of both with a significant dose of Twilight Sparkle.
