But your not looking at it from a different angle. After EVERYTHING Vash went through, he never killed one person, and he definitly wouldn't start with Legato. Think about it, Knives has NOTHING to do with this. Since Legato was going to die either way, so why would Knive's order matter to him? Yes, Legato wanted Vash to suffer, but that doesn't mean Vash pulled the trigger. Yes, Legato could have also easily killed Vash anytime, but he might have wanted to save his death for a special time. Just think, if Legato could have activated the angel arm, there is no doubt he could have made Vash pull the trigger. I just believe that Legato made Vash pull the trigger. After what Vash went through, killing anyone would have made him cry, even if it wasn't his fault..

I liked Trigun's ending. Same with FLCL. However, G Gundam and Tenchi Muyos endings both annoyed me highly. They weren't proper endings. Cowboy Bebop's ending was good too, but not great.

Legato gave Vash an ultimatum. He made it clear he could easily force Vash to waste countless cities with his Angel Arm and cause the fiery deaths of millions and millions... or Vash could kill him. Legato is probably one of the most insidious villains of anime, just because of cruelty like this. He knew having Vash kill him would rip him apart inside and out. One of the most ruthless tortures someone can do to someone else, when it comes to the mind, that I've ever seen. Had Legato made Vash pull the trigger, in the physical sense, it would have made him sulk, but ultimately, all it would have done would have been like as if Legato had raised a gun to his own head and blown out his brains. Whoopsee. I failed to save a life. Which is infinitely less damaging then, No, I took a live. He forced Vash to shoot him in the mental sense. The gunslinger had no other choice, or he would be responsible for the countles deaths of innocents. </font>[/QUOTE]Well, remember how Vash destroyed July with the angel arm, yet hundreds of people still lived? Just another thing to think about. Vash's angel arm wiping out inorganics, and Knive's angel/devil arm wiping out organics. Anyway...Why would Legato make Vash pull the trigger through torture, when Legato can make Vash pull the trigger with his powers? Think, it's TWICE the torture. Vash would have had to think if he truly killed Legato, or if it were Legato who used Vash's gun himself, then Vash would have had to live with "killing" a man in a mental sense. Mental pain is definitly more painful then physical. We see this in the Rem episode. Vash was never really hurt at all, but due to the death of Rem, he was mentally suffering horribly.
