Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Rocky Horror Picture Show turned 40 this year, and I'd like to know what your thoughts on this film are. Why do you think people are still going out and seeing it, dressed up as characters?

This show has a lot of really interesting discourse in the realm of The Gays (TM). For some it's an iconic representation of an interesting and complex trans woman as a main character in a time when that was NOT a thing you generally got to see. For others it's a relic of its era that should be left behind for 'better' more modern and tasteful representations we have access to now and this one shouldn't be heralded. For still others it's an excuse to dress up and be unapologetically Gay with other unapologetically Gay folks.
For me, the songs are catchy and the costumes are fun. Not super into it but not out of it either.
*** note I use the word "gay" as in the q-word in some contexts; not explicitly referring to homosexual but rather to the entire community of not straight not cis people

I believe in second chances, and that's why I believe in you.
