Uncle Grandpa

I watched one episode and I shook my head. I remember when cartoons used to have intelligent humor and a plot. I'll admit that I like Regular Show and Adventure Time which both has dumb humor but at least their episodes have a plot. I watched Uncle Grandpa and I regrettably laughed then thought to myself "Wow, they greenlit this."

What exactly happened to television? When did we make the switch from intelligence to where being dumb is the standard for entertainment now?

I've seen a little bit of this. I'm not at all interested in seeing more.
