Which of the three had the better shows, in your opinion? Which one defined your childhood?

TBH I didn't even know about Disney Channel until 2003 so not that.

Probably Nickelodeon, if I had to pick. Cartoon Network is a very close second though.

90's Nick wins, hands-down. Definitely was my go-to channel as a kid.

Animation only (to be fair to Cartoon Network)....
90s Nick: first-run Doug, first-run Rugrats, first-run Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, Kablam, season-one Spongebob Squarepants.
90s CN: Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast, Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Powerpuff Girls.
90s Disney: season-one New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Live-action only (to be fair to Disney Channel)....
90s Nick: Adventures of Pete & Pete, Clarissa Explains it All, Salute Your Shorts, Welcome Freshmen, Secret World of Alex Mack, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Journey of Allen Strange, Space Cases, Double Dare, Wild & Crazy Kids, What Would You Do, GUTS, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Figure It Out, Eureeka's Castle, Gullah Gullah Island, Blue's Clues, Roundhouse, All That, Weinerville, season-one Amanda Show.
90s CN: [nothing].
90s Disney: Flash Forward, So Weird, Mickey Mouse Club, Kids Incorporated.

...either way you slice it, 90s Nickelodeon dominates.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

hey speaking of live-action 90s nick, when anyone else sees Mike O'Malley in something (Yes Dear, Glee, the upcoming Welcome to the Family) do you also expect him to end every line with "TAKE IT AWAY, MO!"
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

I voted Nickelodeon, because. I really loved Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers, though, but never saw them on Disney to be realistic.
I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying

That's because, iirc, they were never on the Disney Channel. I think Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, Chip and Dale, etc. were all Disney properties, but they were part of ABC's Saturday Morning block.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is how it was--ABC and Disney have been partners for forever.

Some Disney cartoons were on CBS at one point.
