I believe in second chances, and that's why I believe in you.

I dunno, in my case I tend to discover that I had a lot of really bad opinions when I was little that have kept with me until I decided to try them again. Generally when jokes went over my head or there was an absence of pretty or cute girls. In my early youth, a show was deemed unwatchable if there weren't pretty and/or cute girls that I could want to be like in the show.

I've since gained slightly more informed opinions about things I like to think
Ironically, I really liked the Hobbit (including the book). It has good pacing. The book's a bit too English for me, though.
I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying

My impression after the first few episodes of Excel Saga: ha. This is a pretty clever show that pokes fun at bad anime.

My impression after a few more episodes: oh. It's actually just another bad anime. :(

Now don't get me wrong, My Lunch is such a tragic episode I watched it a few days ago and nearly broke down, but even that episode... the ending has such a mood lash, you see the Janitor cringing at The Todd over his absurd innuendo reaching a new low, then suddenly "Step one you say we need to talk" OH **** THE FRAY IS PLAYING
I love Scrubs but seriously that show is all over the place in its tone that it can get annoying
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

^I think that's a fairly accurate assessment, though it is a show I will rewatch time and time again.

I too wrote off Avatar when my brother and sister first started watching it. Then I actually paid attention to a few episodes and was hooked.
