I really enjoyed Moonrise Kingdom. TBH, I haven't seen too many recent films. The Avengers and TDKR were probably the last movies I saw in theaters. I'm looking forward to The Hobbit and Les Miz, though.

1) The Avengers
2) The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
3) The Perks of Being a Wallflower
4) The Amazing Spider-Man
5) The Dark Knight Rises
6) Trouble with the Curve
7) The Campaign (would be higher if they'd cut the credits scene)

Didn't get to see yet: Brave, Hunger Games, Safety Not Guaranteed, Wreck-It Ralph, Moonrise Kingdom, Les Miserables, Django Unchained, Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I ... don't think I've watched a movie in theatres this entire year.

I am going to see the Hobbit though!

'Moonrise Kingdom' is the only one I saw all year, so it wins by default. I imagine it'd still be well up there even if there were other contenders.

I haven't seen many recent movies that were all that good. Prometheus was cool, dunno how old it is. Resident Evil Damnation was cool, at least the last half.

1. The Avengers
2. The Amazing Spider-man
3. The Dark Knight Rises}} Not actually watched yet, but I should be getting the DVD for christmas, will watch it soon after.

Sadly these are the only films I've actually watched this year (Well, ones that were released this year). For me to get to the cinema is quite expensive. Also hopefully some time after christmas (but still in this year), My girlfriend and I are gonna go see the Hobbit together. :D

I've just kinda realized how good a year this was for more "mainstream" cinema. I mean, with stuff like Looper, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Argo,The Master, Moonrise Kingdom, etc., it was also a really good year for indie stuff.

But holy **** for "mainstream" audiences The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Hobbit, Wreck-It Ralph, Brave, Prometheus, The Avengers, The Hunger Games, Skyfall, Paranorman, Frankenweenie, 21 Jump Street, TED, The Campaign, Rise of the Guardians, all of that received quite a bit of praise.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

Sadly I've only seen Wreck-It Ralph this year. There really isn't much excuse to not get The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers, I do enjoy my hero movies.

I go to the movies usually once a week, but there's still a few I missed (like Cabin in the Woods and Moonrise Kingdom). But here's my top 10 from what I've seen:

1. The Avengers
2. Looper
3. The Hobbit
4. Cloud Atlas
5. Argo
6. Dredd
7. The Hunger Games
8. The Grey
9. The Dark Knight Rises
10. Lincoln

Honorable Mentions: The Expendables 2, Chronicle, Wreck-It-Ralph, Skyfall, and Flight.
