Yes, and it is so awful words cannot describe.
The dialogue is the worst pile of garbage ever written, with lines like
"What happened to my wife?"
"I'm sorry she's dead"
"Oh. Can I go talk to her now?"
"I'm... sorry"
"WHAT HAPPENED TO MY WIFE?!"
"We don't know, it could have been encephalitis or any number of things. We'll have to wait for the autopsy"
And then, AS IF HE KNEW THAT IT WAS A DEADLY VIRUS OUTBREAK AND IN FACT NOT WHAT THE DOCTORS WERE TELLING HIM IT WAS, MATT DAMON FOLLOWED WITH THE FOLLOWING LINES (paraphrased)
"WHAT KILLED MY WIFE CAUSE IT OBVIOUSLY CAN'T BE THE THING YOU SAID IT WAS YOU LIARS WHAT KILLED HER?"
And then TO ADD TO THAT when there weren't moments of THE WORST DIALOGUE EVER TO EXIST EVER IN LIFE, there were COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF MONTAGES THAT DIDN'T SERVE ANY PURPOSE TO THE PLOT AT ALL.
There was no character development, every character had exactly one defining trait and OH DEAR GOD DID THEY EMPHASIZE THAT, there were a million cast members each with about half a second of screen time before it jarringly switched perspective to another pointless part of the movie. The plot was obviously predictable, the music wasn't that great.
There was no saving grace to this movie, at all.
Overall rating: 1/2 star. If that.
My rage at this movie... may NEVER subside.
