Recollections of obscure childhood movies

#1

The TV show Wilfred will begin here soon and watching the trailers reminded me of a movie I saw once, a long time ago. Elijah Wood, Kathy Bates, Bruce Willis in a bunny suit... yes, I'm talking about North.

My recollections of this movie are pretty hazy but the overall feeling I remember when I watched it was enjoyment so I decided to check out some reviews of it to see if it was worth getting hold of and watching again. Uh oh. Turns out (if you didn't already know) that it was famously panned and is widely regarded as a truly terrible movie.

Knowing the kind of person I am now, it's funny to think that I sat, watched and enjoyed such a bad movie all those years ago. Have you ever had a similar experience?

I've never seen North. Though the Ebert review has made me curious as to just how bad it is, as he hated hated hated hated hated that movie.

I think Episode I is the best SW prequel. Not that that's exactly a stirring recommendation.
