According to a news article posted five hours ago on the Internet Movie Database, Christopher Nolan has dropped plans to direct The Prisoner, which means he might get started on the next Batman movie earlier than previously thought.
Sounds shweet to me!

I wouldn't get excited. He could easily be working on something else completely.

By all accounts, he was going to start work on the next Batman film after he finished The Prisoner. With that out of the way.......

He probably couldn't get it greenlit. Hollywood is only green lighting sequels and franchise reboots right now. Unless you're the Coen Brothers.

Actually, The Prisoner is a remake of a British TV show from the 1960s.
And as I understand it, the project is still going ahead, even without Nolan.
