Has anyone else watched this?

I hear there's a dub supposed to be coming out.

I watched it, back when it was airing. Back then, it was the progenitor of a few mildly insipid memes, like the chococoronet and balsamic vinegar. Had a nicely animated op, though.

To me, Lucky Star is the anime equivalent of junk food; you know it's bad for you, but you enjoy it anyways.

Bad because of the memes or what?

I sung the whole opening drunk once, does that answer your question?

OH-YOH YOH-YOH YOH-YOH-YAY

I AM JANE AND I LIKE TO RIDE AN ELEPHANT

Hmm? Yeah, I've seen bits and pieces of it before. Crazy girls and their difficult Nippon words.

I've wanted to see this anime for myself, but I'm stuck on Hokuto No Ken.

Maybe this will be my chance.

Ehhh, I'm not a weeaboo anymore, so I didn't like Lucky Star simply because it was Lucky Star. I didn't like some parts, but I enjoyed it for the most part.

Really, this sums it up best:

To me, Lucky Star is the anime equivalent of junk food; you know it's bad for you, but you enjoy it anyways.

It doesn't make it bad by itself. Just don't expect an intellectual brainbuster.

I don't really expect any show to require you to think nowadays (except maybe Lost and Heroes).

I've had it recommended to me, since I like Azumanga Daioh so much. I haven't seen it yet, but it looks like a lot of the humor will be lost on me.

I always thought Azumanga and Lucky Star were of the same caliber, but after watching Lucky Star it honestly doesn't resemble it much.

They're both shows about groups of high school girls, but Lucky Star is more Anime/Game/Otaku parodying, and Azumanga is Slice of Life (although Lucky Star is technically "Slice of Life")

Azumanga is far superior to Lucky Star, even though LS is a fine anime.

Also, I'm really hoping after Marvel vs Capcom, and DC vs Mortal Kombat, we'll get Azumanga Daioh vs Lucky Star

That ending left me...confused, to say the least. And where's my 24th Lucky Channel episode, damnit.

I liked it. Not the best anime I've ever seen, but I enjoyed it while I was watching it.
