Anarchy - Nichi

It has been several days since you arrived at Felaros, and every day the fighting still continues. It is somewhat more peaceful here though; most of the armies fighting for dominance in the west mercilessly crushed by the Alrith army. The area has many towns, most of which are claimed by Alrith or one of the other few kingdoms that once ruled this land; Lonum, a small kingdom that had little power even before it was reduced to almost nothing, and Girall, a larger kingdom more towards the south by a large forest with a leader well liked by its people. Also among the countries there are small rebel armies, trying to gain whatever land they can, and several bandit groups, simply trying to take whatever they can find, and within the chaos of the war, they have little resistance in getting it.

The rebel group you have taken over is small, barely twenty men in it. Their opinion of you is fairly poor; many are angry you killed their former leader, and many dislike you simply because you are different. Despite that, most are willing to follow you, if only out of respect for your strength. Of the rebels, there are two men who are able to be suitable commanders.

The first is Tharis, a strong man who greatly respected the former leader. He doesn't like you, and is quick to tell that to anyone. He is fairly well liked out of the men, but aside from that he isn't much of a leader

The second of the commanders is Garin. He's fairly young and not very strong; he does however possess a strong mind and a good capability for magic. His tactics are strong, but he isn't respected much at all out of the rebels and is kind of weak willed.

The rebels you are with are located in an old fortress, that was taken from Lonum by the previous leader. It has not been attacked by Lonum yet though, so it probably isn't as important as the rest of the problems that they might have. Its the furthest fort away from Lonum, but is still fairly close to it. There is a poor town not too far from it; its low population all fairly upset due to the war. To the north is a mountain range and the kingdom of Alrith and south is Girall. To the east is the rest of the cities of Lonum and beyond that the rest of Felaros; though so far nothing has come from there aside from bandits. There is little out to the west aside from the ocean.

So, what are you going to do?

----
Location - Rebel Fortress.
Army - Rebels. (20 Men. Morale: Low)
Nichi - Energy: 80. Equipment: Iron Sword, Gold Armor.

Nichi scratched his chin as he looked on his small army. Most of them looked on in anger, mostly because he just killed thier leader. Some of those same rebels would also look at his blue skin, almost like he was made of solid water. Though, they didn't kill Nichi yet, so that was good.

Nichi turned to see the former leader's two commanders, Tharis, and Garin. Tharis just stared at Nichi as if he just threw his kitten into a blender, and was already telling Garin how much he hated the blue skinned man. Garin, however, just looked at Nichi. He didn't look at him in fear, or disgust....he looked ready.

Nichi looked outside to see a town not too far from the castle. Then looked a little in each direction to see a Mountain Range, land, and an ocean. He then turned back to the two commanders.

"Before I do anything, I need to know a little more about the lay of the land."

Tharis looked uninterested, while Garin was actually listening to what Nichi was saying. Nichi Continued...

"First, I need to know what this nearby town has. Second, I want to know where the next town is, and finally, I need to know if there are any Bandits or Armies nearby. After that, I'll plan my move"

Garin waits until you're finished before speaking... a lot. "Um... Well... The town right next to us is Tolm and there isn't much there to be honest; a few farms, about 30 men and double that for women and children. They don't have much protecting them, they only have a few weapons and the Lonum army isn't helping them any. Outside of the capital they could care less about any of their towns or people. Anyway, the next closest town is Maroth, its to the southeast and is in the same situation as Tolm, only I think it has more people in it. As for any other armies or bandits around... There is a small army to the south who have been protecting some of the towns from bandits; they're pretty strong from what I've heard. Our old leader mostly left them alone. Bandits are a bit harder to track though, they're all over the place and never stick around one spot for long. Sorry I can't help much with that, but is there anything else you want to know?"

OoC: Ok, again, sorry. I'm not abandoning this yet. :p
-----------------------------------------------------

Nichi listened to every word the scholer had to say before turning to look again towards the east. "UH.....am I annoyinh you?" Said Garin, who suddenly felt like he was brushed off.

"Oh, no,no,no....You've been incredibly helpful." replied Nichi. "That's good enough for now"

Nichi knew that since there are no armies to help them, they would more than likely help any army that came to help, so he knew what to do.

"Ok! I think I know where to start. Half of you....which is about.....10. Go to Tolm and see if anyone would like to join our cause of helping the country obtain peace. The Rest should probably protect this place, in case some Bandits should try to waltz in and start making themselves at home....Garin! You lead the group going into Tolm, while Tharis and I keep watch."

Tharis almost sneered at the idea of being even in the same room as Nichi, but he swallowed it for now, as he most certainly didn't want to get crushed.

And,so it went that Garin's and 10 (or "9+Garin", which is what I assume.) exited the Fortress to recruit anyone who wanted to help, while Tharis, Nichi and the rest kept an eye out for either Bandits, or anyone who would try to waltz into the castle.

Half of the men leave with Garin, heading towards Tolm. After a few minutes they are out of sight, and you are left with Tharis and the rest of the rebels at the fortress.

Tharis and the rest of the men follow your orders, keeping a look out for anyone approaching the area, but aside from that they stay as far away from you as they can while still remaining in the fortress. You take up a spot in the fortress and look outside. Several hours pass without incident, until you hear one of your men shout. You walk over to him.

"Someone's approaching! There are..." He counts to himself, "...There are twelve of them in all."

"Are they ours or someone else?"

"I don't recognize any of them. It could be bandits or one of the other armies. They don't look all that coordinated, so its probably bandits." He turns towards you and Tharis. "What should we do?"

OoC: I have to apologize, Life just kicked into overdrive.
===================================

"Ten against Twelve" said Nichi staring outside at the outknown force "Numbers are not on our side......maybe coordination will be the factor....Ok, here is the plan.

We have to do this carefully, we'll have everyone here meet them head on outside the castle. I doubt they have long range weapons, so we'll take the chance."

Nichi walks towards the door, then he turns to his soldiers "If worse comes to worse, we'll have a secret weapon." Nichi then points tohis head and opens the large door. "Let's go!"
------------------------------------------

We'll confront the unknown force.

I'm sorry if I'm making you do something you don't want to do anymore.
