Garan's Liscense Exam (KB)

You stand in the Hunter Alliance's Training/Liscensing Hall at the quarters closest to your old home town. The hall is simple, a large area with a stage in the center, and numerous doors along the walls. The entrance doors are two oaken doors about 10ft tall.
Today is one of the four quarterly liscense exams. Along with you, there appear to be 14 other candidates hoping to win that prestigious liscense. Each of you was recruited by a liscensed hunter, put in charge of recruiting new members. Your recruitor, a middle aged martial artist by the name of Yang, doesn't seem to be around. He told you that he would be the one in charge of the liscensing exam this quarter. Looking around the hall, you see that eleven of the other hunters seem to have formed groups, while three stand by themselves.
The first group, consisting of four members all seem to be young men, in their twenties, all seem to be warriors. Heavily armored and armed, with dark hair and beards, two are wearing capes, one has a house insignia on his cape, indicating nobility. You can't see the specific crest from where you're standing. Three of them are fooling around, chatting and laughing loudly.
The second group, consisting of two women (late 20s-early 30s, one with red hair and one with blonde) and one man are talking in whispers. All of them are cloaks, but none are wearing the hoods up. The man has a great sword on his back, one woman is inspecting her bow as her companions whisper, and the second woman is leaning on her staff.
Two of the candidates, a young boy and girl (around 14 years old) are sitting by the stage. The girl up on the stage with her legs dangling off, the boy on the floor, legs strecthed out and hands behind him. Neither seem to be carrying any weapons or armor or anything really to indicate that they should be here.
Two older men, easily 60-70 are sitting down and appear to be playing a game of chess. You're not sure where the board and pieces came from since they don't seem to be carrying anything to hold it in. One is dressed in martial artist robes (same school as Yang) and the other has a leather cuirass, a sword and shield next to him.
One guy is circling the walls, peeking in and out of doors, and stopping to write something down. He appears to be your age or slightly younger. He seems to be very excited about being here and very curious about everything around him.
Another guy, shorter than you and looking younger, is plopped on the ground with about eight pouches, three sacks and two backpacks spread out, a crapload of junk. He appears to be looking through his stuff for something.
A young woman crouching near the entrance, petting and feeding a dog. She has a spear leaning against the wall within grabbing distance, and a sheathed short sword and knife on her belt.
If you want, you can approach someone, or wait around for Yang to show up. Its not uncommon for hunters to work in teams and someone may know something relevant.
