A cloak, two potions, four tonics, and I'll take a mission.

You leave the shop and head to the mission center. Inside of the building are a few adventurers, and a man sitting behind a desk. Next to him is a large board, with many cards posted on it. Looking at the board you see the following missions.

1- Potion wanted: My friend was injured recently and I want a potion to help speed his recovery. Difficulty:V. Low.
2- Bodyguard: I'm travelling to the town of Lorul soon, passing through some dangerous territory. I would like a bodyguard to protect me on this trip. Difficulty: Medium.
3- Raid: Defenses have been pumped up in the town of Rham, our leader wants more muscle for our attack on them. Difficulty: Low. (Rep V)
4- For Honor: I was recently attacked and humiliated in front of everyone. I want to get back at them, but want to do so by my own strength. I'm not strong enough, and would like someone to help train me for this. Difficulty: High.
5- Monster Defense - Monsters have been acting up around our town recently, some even attacking people. We want someone to stay around for a few days, protecting our people and possibly driving them all away. Difficulty: Medium.

(Mission 3 has Rep V, which lowers your reputation and makes less missions be open overall. Rewards are decent though.)

How much does the body guard and the monster one pay?

You turn to the man sitting at the desk and ask him. He shuffles through some papers before he finally responds to you.

"The bodyguard one offers 200gp to start; she says she might give more if she makes it through with little problems. The monster defense mission is 300 total, but it sounds like they want you to defend them for a while."

I'll take the bodyguard one.

"So, you're taking the Bodyguard mission then? Alright, the client is Cerana Leton in the town of Yuul to the east. Its not too far a walk from here really, you can probably make it on foot pretty quickly."

You leave the mission center and soon the entire club, heading eastward for Yuul. There are no encounters for the first half of the trip, although that soon changes as you enter forests along the path to the village. You spot a small pack of wolves ahead of you. They don't seem to notice you, and you might be able to avoid them if you want to, though it will end up taking more time.

I'll take the long route. Kinda stupid to endanger the guy I'm supposed to protect.

The person isn't with you, you're currently on your way to the village where they live. Once you reach them your mission technically starts, you're free to do whatever you want until then. Still want to try and avoid them or just fight?

Ah, ok. Yeah that makes a lot more sense than what I was reading. I thought you were saying I went to the place and got him already, which seemed weird without any dialogue or description or anything. Now that thats clarified, still no point in fighting the wolves, I'll avoid them

You head through the woods, passing by the wolves without them noticing. Along the way you run into more creatures in the woods, though none of which very threatening or combative. You pass through with minimal efforts, and soon you reach the town of Yuul.

It is a pretty small town, with only a few houses in total. Eight people are in the town streets, 2 boys playing, a fairly strong looking man with an axe, a group of women chatting among eachother, and an old man and a young women in front of the item shop, they are packing items onto a small wagon, the two arguing among themselves as they do so.

I'll start ask by asking the closest person to me if they know where Cerana Leton is.

You ask the closest person to you, the man holding the axe.

"Cerana? Thats her right over there." He gestures towards the woman by the wagon. "Looks like her Pa's kind of mad at her too."
