Well... I guess I'll get this starting now, even though I won't be able to do much for it over the next few days due to having too much work. This is a free play, since... Its wanted and I figured my other idea had a few problems and wasn't the way I wanted it to be. This is kind of a basic one I guess; and honestly the overall story I've done a few times already...
Plot - Dark Spirits known as the Ocroth have risen within the land of Valse, spreading across the world like a plague. They have no real physical form, but whatever they lack they steal from others; devouring the spirits of man and beast, making them hateful towards those they once cherished, until they are left as hollow shells for the Ocroth to control. They are a threat to all life in the world, killing the spirits of everything in their path, not stopping until the world is theirs. Unable to stop the growing strength of the Ocroth, the gods of Valse sought out the aid of anyone able to help defeat the darkness spreading through the land. Those who reached the gods' message were told to recieve their power, going to various points in the world where their powers are at their strongest.
Map - For the most part, its blank, aside from the starting area, which everyone mysteriously gathers at, as if by some [strike]plot device[/strike] act of god, aside from a few places I'd like to have a lot of the adventuring in. Those places are shrines/dungeons where we will go to gain the powers of the gods; I'm not going to describe anything more than the themes of them, which are based off of the elements of the world: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind/Ice, Metal/Lightning, Forest, Light, Darkness, Spirit, Mind, Time/Space. Feel free to add whatever you like to the map; either another dungeon to visit, or any towns or whatever along the way. The final spot we visit will be the original lands that the Ocroth started in, where we use our god given powers to beat them. Hopefully.

Appearance - What your character looks like. No limits as to what your character is like honestly, though roughly human sized or smaller would be better, as most dungeons don't accommodate for 50 foot dragons. Aside from that, I don't mind whatever you do.
History - A brief history of your character. Doesn't need to be much.
Strengths/Weaknesses/Abilities - Yeah... What you can do well and what you can't. All I ask is that you balance it out. At best be probably above average on human standards unless there are some big weaknesses to your characters.
Items/Equipment - What you're bringing with you. Try and keep this along with the above one too balance wise; try and stay within some limits as to what you bring.
...Hmm, anything else people think I should add? Anyway, this will probably just be the sign up, but I don't know. I'll probably start sometimes next week, since I've got a bit much to do over the next few days. But in the meantime, sign up and state some stuff you want to see I guess.

Name - Iselion Charos (Calls himself 'Feral')
Appearance - Feral has slightly tanned skin, green eyes, is 6'2, and is very
muscular in size. He weighs around 220 pounds and wears a white short sleeved shirt, dark shorts, and a pair of old boots. He has a broken right arm.
History - Feral has lived in the wilds for most of his life, learning how to hunt, eat, shelter himself, and communicate to and interpret animal behavior. He does not remember anything of where he came from or who his parents are. Strangely, he knows how to speak and remembers his actual name, but calls himself Feral because of his years of experience living out on his own.
Strengths/Weaknesses/Abilities - Feral is physically powerful and is all-knowing when it comes to survival in the jungle or forest. However, he has had little to no human interaction and may not respond the same way a typical human would to situations.
Items/Equipment - A pair of claws and a short bow. At the moment, he cannot wield his bow and can only use his left arm for combat.

Hmm... well, I guess its kind of expected that hardly anyone joins, but whatever... I'm also having a bit of trouble deciding what type of character (or characters) that I should play as. I kind of want to use stranger characters, but I also don't want this too seem too odd, so I'll say its up to you whether you would rather have me use a more traditional character or characters that are fairly random.
...That aside, I guess we can start whenever you would want now. I'd rather start the story in a seperate topic though, so that if people want to join later there won't be as much of an interruption in the story.

Appearance: A tannish-brown cat with greenish eyes.
History: Grew up in a city, scrounging around for food for most of his life. He met a kind man a few years back who cared for him several years ago, forming somewhat of a bond with him. Keno now follows him wherever he may go.
Strengths/Weaknesses/Abilities: Has the spirit of a fighter ...and the everything else of a cat. Has hardly any physical strength or interesting abilities. He has good senses however, and is even able to tell when one is possessed by the Ocroth.

Appearance: Stands at about 5' 6", with a somewhat pale complexion about him. His eyes are a dull blue while his hair is a simple brown, kept somewhat short. He wears brown pants, a white shirt, and a fading green coat that partially overlaps the rest of his clothes.
History: Nalian was born fairly ill, a factor which hurt his overall growth. He did not have the strength of many of the others in his town, and attempted in many different ways so that he might be of a use to others, such as learning magical arts. In a way he had succeeded, however failed in his own mind as he was unable to use them properly without heavy strain on himself. He continues on with his life, hoping that one day he will finally be able to do something for those he cares for right.
Strengths/Weaknesses/Abilities - Physically weak overall; he is almost able to meet the strength and speed of others, however becomes tired from it incredibly quickly. Knows basics of medical techniques and some magic, however his weakness prevents it from being used too often.
Items - A wooden walking stick, a few small potions.

Name:Kamek Magikoopa Appearance:Kamek is only 3'4,and he strangly has black eyes.He only wieghs 50 pounds.Wears a thick blue robe.Kamek is a little thin,and wears sunglasses so nobody sees his eyes. History:Before Kamek knew magic,he lived in a small house and was very busy all the time,then he went to middle school.He sat next to a very annoying nerd dude named Billybobjoe.Who allways bugged him.But only in 2nd peroid...,in high school,(he is still in middle school)magic class,Kamek's favorite subject that he was so into,is the source of his magic today!
