(Taken mainly from the "Ultimate RPG" by Prince Toad)

This type of RPG is very unique. The creator of the topic doesn't control the world, or any of the characters in it. Anybody can post anything when they want, and it allows as much freedom as you want. Some advice with these types of RPGs though. They can either be VERY fun, but often get out of control with all of the random posting in them.

This is a sample Free-play RPG. If you create one yourself, you simply give a sign-up sheet, and then tell people the basic plot of the story, and then they can join and do whatever they want at that point (hence the name, "free-play")

SAMPLE PLOT

A long time ago, there was an evil man. He took away some orbs that held the planet Earth stay in 1 piece. Now, random devestation is happening all over the world. Mystically, many people with hidden talents are summoned to fight this man, and get back the orbs which make the world go round. You start in a small town called "Town".

SIGN-UP FORM

SAMPLE SIGN-UP

Name: Guy
Sex: Male
Age: 25
Weapon: Sword
Weapon Enchantment: Fire
Occupation: Warrior
Appearance: Guy is a typical guy weilding a sword
Personality: Friendly, nice, likes saving the world
Additional Info (optional): Guy is your typical RP character who may not look like it, but will save the world

After people sign-up, they can begin posting.

SAMPLE POST FOR A SIGNED-UP PERSON

Guy walks out of Town and sits alone with himself on a barren road. Later his sister Sarah comes over and they talk

Guy: "Hey sister, how are you?"
Sarah: "I'm fine, how are you?"

(blah blah blah, basically anybody can do anything...simple but fun)

Visual sample, I may make a free-play RPG sometime soon, they don't require any management, just a good plot.
