EQUIPMENT
Weapon: Kendo Bokken. It's a wooden bokken sword which can double as a defensive measure. It's for Kendo newbies like you. (+3 ATK, +2 DEF, EP Cost: 3)
Sheild: N/A (Wannabe VGF Kendo Presidents don't use sheilds, duh.)
Armor: Super Keikogi. Super Keikogi combines the traditional Seikon dyed cotton Keikogi with an advanced dryness technology. You will feel dry even during intensive training. The inside of this Keikogi is lined with a layer of HiDriTex. HiDriTex keeps you dry by drawing the moisture away from the body. This moisture locking technology also helps to prevent unwanted odours in the Keikogi because it minimizes the accumulation of cells in the fibers of the Keikogi.
.Fancy, eh? (+5 Defense)
Helmet: Kendo Seikon. You wear this in battle, but you prefer to take it off to show off your good looks. The ladies don't mind the sweat you accumulate under this heavy helmet at all.(+3 DEF)
Gloves: Stitched Kote. These gloves were stitched by your grandmother many moons ago. They are said to have some mystical power, but to you, they just smell old. (No stat changes.)
Boots: None
Accessory: Kendo Training VHS. Feel the burn. (No stat changes.)
ITEMS
Though your sack is large, it is empty.

4. Adventure on out.

by Wahsapa
You try and head out the main gate, but you are stopped by...the REAL one and only...
President of the VGF Kendo Club!
He pushes you back and warns you.
President of the VGF Kendo Club: Yond newbie, wither which is thy path? No, rest unassured. Take not this path marked by the graveset offborn muse. You truly are not fully prepared for this path, you must go to the battle league. Once there which is they destiny you whilst meet a trainer, whilst he instruct you on how you shall play this game. Hence, do not in vain travel light of foot, keep to thy path, never changing. Steadfast and tready, yonder out!
He jumps away and you are left confused with his words.
(Basically, you need to head to the battle league for instruction. Guess you learned the hard way. )
Here's what you can do:
1) The Armory: Equipment is cool.
2) The Skill Shop: You can make skills and buy skill points here.
3) Battle League: [whisper]go here[/whisper]
4) Adventure: Do ye dare defy the unnerving will of The President of the VGF Kendo Club. Me thinks not, I say.
What do you want to do?

... right...
3. The battle league.

You head to the battle league. Once there, you see a trainer.
Barbaloan, The Noob Trainer: Are you Hiro Shorumi?
Hiro: Yes I am.
Barbaloan, The Noob Trainer: Great. I'm Barbaloan, The Noob Trainer. I can see you have never battled before, so I will instruct you on the basics. The basic combat field looks like this:
---
0000000000
0000000000
0000000000
0000000000
0000000000
---
It is a basic 5x10 playing field. Note, those are zeroes and not o's. (This will be explained later during this tutorial.)
Now, this is what a basic setup for battle will look like. This is a sample 1 on 1, you against a goblin. (The max number of people that can fight at one time is 5 on 5)

SYMBOLS
That is what the setup will be like in most cases. Here is what some of the symbols you will encounter mean:
»: Character facing right.
«: Character facing left.
^: Character facing up.
v: Character facing down.
0: Terrain level 0. The basic terrain level. No extra damage is dealt because there is no height advantage.
1-9: Terrains level 1-9 are unique. As each level progresses, your height advantage increases as well. For example, if you are on terrain level 1, and an enemy is on terrain level 0, you will deal slightly more damage and have a higher accuracy, while the opposite is true for your enemy. The higher your advantage over an enemy, the greater these effects become. However, you can't hit an enemy with a melee attack if your terrain level is 5 or more levels higher than theirs. Ranged attacks actually gain bonus distance from a higher terrain level.
---
MOVEMENT
All characters move 2 spaces per round, except the light class. The light class gets 1 extra movement space per round. You can turn as much as you want per round (meaning you can go from ^ to « to v to » as much as you want.) Moving takes 1 EP per space moved.
The player with the highest speed goes first, and the rest follow according to their speed as well. If your speed is double that of an opponent's, then you may move two times before they do.
---
ENGAGING THE ENEMY AND VULNERABILITES
When an enemy attacks you or when you attack the enemy, you become engaged and turn to face them (as long as they are within your attack range) and both you and the enemy become vulnerable to side and back attacks.
A side attack to an engaged person deals 1.5 times the normal damage it would normally deal, while a back attack deals 2 times the normal damage. (Note: You can't side or back attack an already engaged enemy as they will turn as you turn around them.)
---
WHAT YOU CAN DO ON THE FIELD
You have a number of options you can do while on the battlefield. They include the following:
1) Move: Explain like "Left, Up" or "Right, Right"
2) Attack: Your basic attack. The range depends on your weapon and the attack type (ranged or melee.) You can only hit adjacent enemies.
3) Defend: Prepares you for the next attack. + to defenses.
4) Skill: Choose a skill to use.
5) Item: Use an item from your item bag.
6) Pass: Sometimes the wisest thing is to pass and let the enemy come to you. You can't move and attack unless a skill specifies that you can.
7) Run: Run like a little sissy pants if you get in danger.
---
PRACTICE BATTLE
Barbaloan, The Noob Trainer: Well, enough talking. Let's start the action. Here's your first battle.
