(NOTE: If anyone would like to join up, please say so, as we no longer have a Druid. Apparently, Dylan hates me and is trying to avoid me at all costs. I would appreciate if you would be a Cleric.)
The night’s sky had started in a downpour, followed by thunder and lightning. The warriors inside were beginning to become restless, as they await their employer. Suddenly, a drenched elderly looking man burst through the tavern doors. He was wearing light blue robes, but not quite those of a magician. He had off-white hair, and wore glasses. He was soaked from the rain.
“Oh my, I'm terribly drenched...” murmured the man.
*The man looked up, glancing across the tavern*
“Are you my mercenaries?” He spoke up, waiting for the people’s responses.
(Players can become more acquainted as the adventure goes along)

*Looks to Zerra*
"Eh, did the human woman just feint?"
*Grumbles about Human/Elf reputations*
*Looks to the newcomer*
"If you are the one that posted those signs, then I assume we must be the sell-swords you are looking for."
*Tala circles his hand over a mug of hot water Cast Prestidigitation, giving the water the properties of a mug of cider*
"Have this, something to warm you up while we introduce ourselves. I am Tala; journeyman arcanist, this is Deslyon, Khalus, and ... Eh... a fellow elf; Thief. I believe this human woman intended to accept your offer as well, but her travels and trials have worn her out."
*coughs*
"However, I believe that we should wait to discuss more until morning, do you not agree?"

"Ah, thank you very much, sir." Exclaimed the man, toward Tala. "So you are the warriors I requested? I am very glad. I did not expect such a turn out."
*Sips at Cider*
"Perhaps it is best to wait until morning, wouldn't want you to go to that cavern in the midst of darkness... and I do not know what has happened to that female warrior." The elderly man further explained. "I will pay for all of your stays at the inn, and we can discuss the more in the morning."
*The man finishes the rest of his Cider, as he leads the party out of the tavern, and into the neighboring Inn. Deslyon, the strongest carrying Zerra*
"I shall be staying in this room..." He started.
*The man gestured toward a wooden door*
"You five will be staying in here." Continued the man.
*He gestured again, but this time toward a door to the left of his*
"I apologize if it's cramped, but it should suffice. I do not have the greatest amount of gold. It does have five beds, fortunately.
"I shall be going to sleep now, I'll see you in the morning."
*The man headed off into his room*
(Your choice, continue the RP and say you can't fall asleep, or skip ahead to the morning. Once everyone states they go to sleep, or after a certain amount of time, I will continue on.)

(Elves do not actually sleep right. If I remember correctly they just meditate for four hours. Also, red is a bit hard to read on a blue background, should actions be dealt with in another color?)
*Tala sits cross legged on the furthest bed and spreads out his various spell components*
"I suppose this is better than a tavern mat... Still something does not seem right, would not a man hiring mercenaries be by nature a wealthy man?"
*Continues sorting components and turns to Thief*
"You spend more time with the Humans, do you not. What do you think about him?"
( V Just making conversation while we wait)

Deslyon walked into the room and placed Zerra on one of the beds and gently tucked her into bed. He noticed she hardly sunk into the old cushioned bed. He quickly learned that there were more problems than just the beds in the old room. As he walked to one of the beds the floor creaked loudly, and the weak walls seemed to shake as he stepped on the floor. There was a small hole in the corner of the room, probably from the mice who tended to the services the room cleaners failed to do. He noticed just how small the room was as soon as all the mercenaries entered the room.
"Stiff beds, loud floors, and possibly some unexpected visitors in the middle of the night: talk about class," he sighed and plopped his body on one of the beds.
Although the uncomfortable beds seemed to keep him wide awake, he wore his energy out after tossing and turning for a few long hours.

"I guess the man wasn't kidding when he said this room was going to be as big as a chicken coop. But ah, It not like I technicaly sleep...y'know in elven conditions. But uh, you humans would not understand us kinds of ways of doing these....things. Yes, anyway, I suppose this may be a rocky start...but eh, still some kind of start I suppose. Oh and, none of that air passage malfunction crap. I have a strict no snoreing policy."
*Shuffles about words and proceeds with a reluctant excuse*
"It's a...um...personal thing."
*Revisits path of thought to Tala's question*
"Hmm? The uh...hum...what's-his-face? I dun' know, he looks like a friend over a foe...but then again, some old dude can never be judged once, eh?"

"Well, I do not know what everyone else may think, but I suggest we try to rest up for tonight, rather than stay up for more idle talk. I have a feeling that tomorrow will be a busy day for us all..."
*Khalus appears to have little trouble falling asleep. Apparently, these beds were little different from the sleeping mats in the monestary he grew up in.*

*Zerra stirs for a moment in her sleep, briefly waking to take in the fact she'd moved from the tavern to a room with like five other people, all of them men. She blinks for a moment before turning over, flicking away a nearby cockroach and falling back asleep. For whatever reason today she was exhausted.
(needless to say, I'm back and participating again.. Blah RL stuff sux...)

*Tala carefully packs up his spell components into their pouch and tosses his red cloak over his knee high boots at the end of his cot.*
"The human woman is still alive, good to see."
*He pulls his wide brimmed hat down over his eyes and leans against the headboard to meditate.*
"See you when the sun rises."
(Everyone except 'thief' is here and asleep now right?)
