(We were told how to speak on the first page)
"Led by a higher power, Mister, a monk is it?, each of us followed the scent of something much more sinister and powerful than a god, we chase fortune and the glory of adventuring. As for trust, draw your own conclusions, you have naught to fear from me unless you show otherwise."
*Turns toward thief*
"Your contract is worthless, but we should have a mite discussion before our employer gets here." *In Elven* "Maybe we can sort something out otherwise, but now is not the time to discuss it."

Deslyon sat at one of the tables in the tavern waiting for this employer. He listened intently at a group of people talking at a table across the tavern. Everyone that was in the tavern seemed to be interested in finding these children and confronting the one who put up the poster. He heard some dispute about a contract from a rogue among the group. The man's thought of a 'contract' made Deslyon laugh aloud.
"Amazing how these guys are so fascinated with rules and regulations in these 'contracts' while they can't even obey the law," he thought to himself.
The looting issues really didn't matter to Deslyon anyhow. He was already well off financially with his father's legacy. Besides, the rogue couldn't steal his honor.
"Maybe by the end of this I'll chain that man up and lock him away for good for whatever the hell he's done. That oughta give me a few extra moments of fame."
Deslyon got up from his chair and looked at the other folks gathered. The rest of them didn't seem too bad. They would be his company for a few months. As long as he was patient, he would be able to tolerate this group of mercenaries until he can get himself into a more professional group. He approached the table and introduced himself.
"I'm Deslyon, and like many of you, I'm here for the fame and fortune that is within our grasp."

(Sorry with my speech technique, SephirothKirby slammed an e-mail in my face with instructions.)
"Drat. I suppose I'm put into my place."
"Heheh...so that's 'make profit dicussions later' for my agenda."
"What's your name again? Deslyon? Well, that's a...stu-er...cool name...I guess. I still think, since our quest has much to do with fortune'z, we talk finance. But, oh, that's a little to far up the road for you guys, huh? Well, I got nuthin'. I beckon this situation, but for some reason it's still worth it."
*Dwells upon ale* "Bah, partnerships are so far out of my leage."

Theif scribbles something into a leather booklet.

(The employer will arrive soon enough. I just wanted to give you some time to introduce yourselves to each other. I only require one post from each player, and Phoenix was supposed to post yesterday, but, y'know, of all days it was his birthday. He should post today.

(If it's Phoenix, it'll be quite some time before he buckles down and joins us.)
"Ah-"
(No, Thief, you already said some crap more than once.)
"That's bull sh-"
(Yeah, about that, would it be at tad too over-the-gun for Theif to talk sailor? I mean...being a ruthless and mean chacter doesn't exactly mean he has to talk trash. But y' know, I could always do that...)

*With the few coins she has turned up, Zerra buys herself a drink. Glancing down at her somewhat gritty reflection, she chugs the drink in a gulp and heads outside to try to wash up a bit using rain water, or a nearby stream- really anything with water, even the horse trough would work for now. Quickly washing up, or at least doing the best she can with ..horse water.. she heads back into the tavern slightly more presentable and heads back to her table to continue listening in.*

"Well then, by all means, tell me what you know about it. There has been a...rather unfortunate catastrophe that had occured a few years ago, and a valuable artifact has gone missing."
*He smirks at the rogue a bit, knowing his audience.*
"I'm quite certain that the artifact, the Gavel of Judgment, would be worth a king's ransom if found..."
