(Fine, go ahead. Although, I've been thinking on quiting. But please, do tell what I've done this time.)

"I'll take the lead. Give me one of the torches." Deslyon said, and lit one of the torches up.

*He peered into the cave, squinting his eyes to try and see down the cave as far as he can before proceeding.*

OOC: Question, does my spot skill allow me to also see in the dark better? If so I'll use it.
(Fine, go ahead. Although, I've been thinking on quiting. But please, do tell what I've done this time.)
(I apologize for making you feel bad. You make mistakes only because you are learning, I do hope you don't quit. You're the one who adds funny quips to the game, you know. Simply put, do you design where you put the treasure in a game you play? I am afraid not. I design where the treasure rests, what monsters you encounter, I am God in this game. So please think before you do such things. You're actually doing rather fine, for someone new to the game.)
OOC: Question, does my spot skill allow me to also see in the dark better? If so I'll use it.
(No, spot would allow you to see someone hiding in the shadows, but it does not allow you to see generally better. Only darkvision can do that.)

Zerra marches into the dark corridors of the cave, sword drawn, behind her fellow party members that have chosen to go inside the blasted stupid cave....

(DM describe said cave please.)

(^^I suppose I mistook the actual player-reaction to D&D. I guess I've done too much co-author roles in the past. Sorry.)

(But really, I've been busy lately. So...I might do that thing where I go away from VGF for a month again.)

It was difficult to see after ten or so feet of entering the cave, the darkness overshadowing any who enters. The cave itself was rather straightforward. The walls jagged and uneven, and the sound of small animals scurrying in the distance. The cave was rather long, if you could tell, but not so long it would take a day to get through. No alternate routes were visible, so there was truly only one correct path. A few bones and tattered rags decorated the path, from the unhygienic Goblins making their home there.

(Hm, I've never played D&D through Internet description, am I doing well?)

(It would probabbly be better for you to run this over AIM or MSN messanger)

(You forgot one important detail, the size, numbers, the game runs on them and I want to know how much area my sleep spell can cover with its 15' radius. Also the torches illuminate 20' radius, 40' for the elves.)

"Listen. Do you hear anything?"
*Listen Checks all around?*
"Hey Thief, this is your specialty, go check out that hallway and report exactly how far away the enemy is and how many of them there are."
*Move silently and/or Hide while waiting for Thief*

(Ah, how did I let that slip?)

The cave was roughly 20 feet wide, and 15 feet tall. Not the biggest space, but comfortable enough. It could certainly be smaller.

(Also, I know how much the torches cover, I was simply stating how far you could see in without artificial light, if that's what you mean)

Tala hears something, he can't quite discern it, but it sounds like snorting, perhaps grunting off in the distance.

"I suppose this cave would be more frightening if it didn't feel like home. Sad but true, eh? Well let me be a big hero and march forward into the dark. Meany-heads..."

So Thief walked into the mysteriously dark realms of the cave, wandering upon twists and turns of the cold, blackened area. There may not be much known what may happen, but no suspicions have crossed Thief's mind...yet...

"I'm thirsty."

Yes, he is most likely doomed.

wandering upon twists and turns
(This is more direct to the cave's mischievous reputation, not the form. Because...I know it's straight. I actualy remember reading that.)

While waiting on the partys scout, Zerra looks around for a white stone just outside the cave, after a few test tries, she finds on that can function as chalk. She makes two tiny marks on the walls leading to the next room, so small that they are not even noticed unless you were looking for them.

"Well, I suppose I've ventured far enough."

*Spot Check*

"Someone could really put up a few tourches in here."

*Silent Movement Check*

"It's not like this place couldn't use a good light or anything..."

*Spot Check*

"Well, that about raps it up."

Theif now heads back to his allies.

(Er, not to bother, but...Precise Shot requires Point Blank Shot. Craft Magic Arms and Armor requires spellcasting level of 5 or higher. Plus you only get one feat.)

Elliot looked about, and even with the aid of his low-light vision, he couldn't find anything worth interest.

Thief could see a silhouette of a humanoid figure. He couldn't quite tell if it was a shadow, or something else, but it was 30 to 40 feet away, making gestures toward another silhouette of the same stature, while the other seemed intent on listening to the first figure.

After spotting said figures, Thief decided to make it back to his party. Being skilled at these types of acts, he had no problem making his way there, seeing no odd behavior with the silhouettes.

Seeing Theif's return, Zerra finishes up what she's doing and awaits further instruction.

"What do we have to look forward to?"

(Ah, crud. I didn't even bother to look at the prequisites. Jeez, what a lot of trouble just for making a character sheet huh? Okay instead I'll pick Point blank shot.)

(^ I'm going to tell 30 year olds their extremely old now.

Besides, Monopoly's been around since 1935. Things that are fun, become popular. Things that are popular last a long time.)

(Anywhom, trying to retain the thought that something is actually going on here...)

"Well, it seems as if there are two...erm...things...down in the deeper section of this here cave."

*Gazes into the mouth of the cave*

"Human or not, we should still take precautions."
