The soldier, still focused on you pulls a grenade off his belt and pulls the pin. Fortunately, your ally gets in another power punch, dealing another 38 damage and defeating the soldier. The brute takes the grenade and throws it towards Ceron in anger.

You both gain 78 exp, 8 gold, and 4 ability points. You level up and recover all your health and energy. You also get 25 points to spend on your base stats.

Brute: 25/270 Health, 22/40 Energy, 75 Attack, 25 Defense, 40 Resistance, 120 Agility

"Thanks a lot. I thought I was finished for a minute. I guess I better act wiser next time instead of charging through hordes of enemies. Can I ask one more favor of you? I am in need of medical attention, can you help me get back in shape?"

You can:
- Refuse to help him
- Escort the brute back to Ferranar Outpost to heal
- Give him a potion

As soon as the two of you begin retreating, a caster from Umanicar lands in front of you.

"Heh, I noticed you guys get your arses kicked by a soldier. The battlefield isn't a place for weaklings to fight, it's a place for weaklings to die."

Your ally drops down to his knees to recover from his wounds. You step in front of him and take on the caster.

Caster: 240/240 Health, 140/140 Energy

Resif:
540/540 Health
40/40 Energy

You can:
- Attack immediately
- Throw a stone disk

(You still have 4 ability points as well as 25 stat points to split between health, energy, attack, defense, resistance, and agility)

You slash the caster and deal 170 damage. The caster uses bolt and deals 138 damage and stuns you for 1 turn. He follows with wind slash for 98 damage(wind position).

You counter the caster's wind slash with a slicing slash, dealing a total amount of 410 damage, completeling obliterating him.

Energy: 40/40

You gain 34 exp, 2 ability points, and 7 gold.

(OOC: That's an example of countering an attack. When an enemy is left in a wind/rifle/piercing position, you can counter with a slashing attack to deal 2x damage. In this case, you dealt 6x damage because of the counter attack and the racial advantage you had. I forgot to include the counter attacks earlier, but none of the enemies you fought earlier were left in positions that you countered).

"Wow, I'm speechless..." the brute pauses with his mouth wide open. The two of you reach Ferranar Outpost and the brute rests there on a bed.

"Thanks again. My name's Geron by the way," the brute says to you and passes out.

You look around the post and notice a man approach you. He is rather large and is wearing a special suit that shows he's a champion(A leader of the Brutes).

"You are quite an impressive soldier. My scouts noticed you at Camp Deswell and at The Battlefield, and to top it off, you even rescued another brute's life. Several problems have arised since the war began this month, and effective brutes such as yourself are hard to come by. Would you care to help us out? I've got rewards for anyone who can complete these tasks for me."

- Ask about the offers the champion has.
- Pass on the offers and go somewhere else.

The man introduces himself as Champion Jerichson and debriefs you on several of the issues the Brutes are having.

"As you are well aware, Camp Deswell is extremely close to Heria and constantly monitors our activity there day and night. I'm afraid that if we keep that camp alive any longer, that more reinforcements will arrive and the casters may be able to develop a strategy for harming our capital. I will send some support for you to raze the camp, and in exchange, I will allow you and the party to keep anything the casters drop as well as 10 additional gold for each participant. If you find any reports or plans written down, please give them to me so that I can anticipate their future actions."

"Another problem we have is the soldiers in The Battlefield have a huge advantage over both us and the casters. Their fast-firing mechanisms and the large amount of soldiers deployed towards the battlefield have posed an extremely large threat. Fortunately we have pitched up a small post nearby their arming center, Frontier Post. Frontier Post is armed with many powerful weapons and items the soldiers use to enter combat. With that post destroyed, it would give us a tremendous relief on the battlefield. Report to Renon Outpost and speak with Champion Orsalon for further instruction there if you're interested. If you manage to complete this task, I shall award you with 25 gold as well as a set of steel armor, a fine armor stronger than iron yet lighter."

"And one of the most dire situations on our hands is from a traitor, Lerion Chaross. Lerion and a group of other brutes have agreed to help a soldier named General Erason and his army to navigate through the caves of Heria to impose a great deal of damage for some land for these treacherous brutes to settle on. The exact location of Lerion is unknown at this moment, but he is no doubt on the planet Ceron under the protection of Erason. Locate Lerion and Erason and show me proof of their extermination for 100 gold and a special warhammer capable of devastating damage."

"For now, I would have you rest on before this ordeal if you will accept. You already have a loyal companion in recovery, and I feel with him and others, you can easily gain the co-operation of our kind and lead us to a better age than what we're dealing with right now."

You can:
- Accept razing Camp Deswell
- Accept destroying Frontier Post
- Accept slaying Lerion and Erason
- Decline the offers and do something else

- Decide whether you would want support from Geron or not

Then I'll rest for a bit before I go I guess. Also, since you said I leveled up I'll put 10 into attack, 5 to defense, and 10 into agility. And any Ability points I have left into Slashing.

You learn a new ability: Power Slash- Deal 1.30 damage to an enemy.(8 energy)

After you sleep, you and Geron go to Champion Jerichson to take on the Deswell task. You notice another man talking to Jerichson.
"Alright, I've got the support you requested. This is Karcero."
Karcero nods his head at you.
"Karcero is quite skilled with a bow and should prove as a useful support unit as you take on the Casters at the camp. Good luck to all of you."

The three of you travel north towards the camp. The casters are still around the camp and notice your presence. The water caster from earlier goes inside a tent to alert someone apparently. A few moments later, the water caster as well as a wizard walk out of the tent. The wizard looks at the three of you intently.

"I am Wizard Mestorn. Master of several deadly elemental attacks. Challenging me would be challenging death itself. Turn back while you still have the chance."

"Heh, now it's time for me to kick some casters out!" Geron yells and begins running towards the casters. Karcero readies a shot from his bow and arrow.

There are three groups of enemies. The water caster and the fire caster are together, the lightning caster and elemental caster are together, and Mestorn is alone.

Determine who attacks what group and then:
- Run towards an enemy and attack next turn
- Throw a stone disk

whoops, I didn't quite phrase that good enough. What I meant is to say was that each person has to fight a group of enemies. So if you want to still want to attack the lightning and elemental caster that's fine, but one of your allies will fight the fire/water casters while the other one takes on the wizard.

Just tell me which members you want to attack which groups and then the battle will begin.

So... one of us takes on a single group, and we can't fight another until they get taken out? If we finish off a group can we move on and fight another one?

Eh, either way... since we're going to be separated, I'll take the strongest then. Geron can take on the lightning and elemental caster, and Karcero can attack the water and fire casters. I'll move over and attack Mestorn.

yeah, once a group is taken out, another member can assist in killing the second and third groups.

"Heh, it looks like you'll be quite a challenge. I haven't laid waste to some Brutes in a while so this oughta be exciting."

You run up towards Mestorn and he casts lightning bolt and deals 111 damage to you.

The elemental caster casts wind slash, dealing 28 damage to Geron. Geron runs up to the casters. The lightning caster casts lightnign bolt and deals 35 damage to Geron.

Karcero fires an arrow at the fire caster, dealing 315 damage, killing the fire caster. The water caster counters uses wave and deals 12 damage to Karcero.

Elemental caster uses wind slash and deals 28 damage to Geron. Geron uses power punch on the lightning caster and deals 258 damage to lightning caster, killing him.

Karcero fires an arrow at the water caster and deals 288 damage to the water caster, killing him.

OOC: I also am going to create a little gameplay clock. Every week this rpg lasts, a month will go by. So it's February right now of the year 1000.

Karcero fires an arrow at the elemental caster and deals 289 damage to the elemental caster, killing him.

You gain 88 exp, 4 ability points, 12 gold, and a Ruby Of Resistance(+20 Resistance) and equip it.

Karcero gains 139 exp and levels up, gains 5 ability points, and gets 13 gold.

Geron gains 72 exp and levels up, gains 3 ability points, and 7 gold.

"Well that went smoothly" says Karcero and begins to desecrate the camp.

In the Mestorn's tent you notice some plans on a table. You notice it's a pretty good map of Heria's entrances. You notice some arrows drawn to one of the entrances in the east of heria, which seems to be marked as a weakspot. Perhaps the former water caster and earth caster were investigating this weak spot and notified the Wizard. Regardless, the three of you return to Ferranar Outpost and you hand the plans to Jerichson.

"Hmm, well if anything they've at least helped identify a weakness in our defenses. I just hope the caster's haven't reported this investigation to anyone outside of Deswell. Regardless, we need to be cautious.

"In addition to the previous tasks I have mentioned, I need someone to check up on Heria's entrance over there and to reinforce the entrance. I'll reward 15 gold to the person who can notify the guards and help in the stucturing."

"Also I would like to know exact what was going on at Camp Deswell. I have a feeling word has been sent to higher officials to send more casterrs to Deswell to plan an invasion. If you can hold the camp and bring back a surviving caster for questioning, I will reward 20 gold as well as a rigid stone which can be used to keep weapons in good condition and improve their capabilities. So are you up for another task?"

You can:
- Accept going to Ceron and try to take out Frontier Post, which gives the soldiers an advantage over the battlefield.
- Accept slaying Lerion the brute and Erason the soldier
- Reinforce Heria's eastern entrances
- Wait at Camp Deswell and capture a caster for questioning
- Decline the offers and do something else
