The Japanese and Mediterranean diets are the two healthiest (and best tasting, IMO) in the world. It's no surprise that they're so healthy over there. Of course, numbers like 116 are a surprise. Personally, I don't think I'd like to live that long, though.

Born in 1887...

Especially for Japan, imagine what you would see in that period of time...

116 isn't the oldest, though...Yeah. The REAL world's oldest person was someone named Jeanette (or something) who died in August 1997 at the age of 122. She'd been born in February 1875 in France.

Wouldn't it be strange to grow up thinking that it was impossible for man to fly, then, when you were 80 or so, see man land on the moon?

Wow. Those are some ooold people.

By Meditteranian he doesnt mean "pizzas" and "pastas" Specificlly, most people on the island of Crete,Greece have that diet. The diet is olive oil and a whole bunch of other things. Thats why people on that island dont have many doctors, they dont need to worry that much. (Seriously) The people from Crete are the most least likely to get Heart diseases. How do I know all this?
