Time for a price check...

How's inflation going in your part of the world...

What's the cost of milk, a carton of eggs, ramen noodles and fuel? Everything we buy here has gone up. Some things have gone up in costs, and down in weight/size.

Milk here is around $3.10 for 2 litres.
A dozen free-range eggs is $5.60 now
Ramen noodles (12 pack) is $5.99
Fuel today (Tuesday in the cycle is considered cheapest) is 178.9/litre and up to around 195.9/litre

It was predicted we'll be paying well over $2/litre for fuel next year.

Hmmm. I don't buy eggs or milk often enough to know.

Think the last time I paid for gas it was 3.79/gal, but I know that's barely a fair comparison---------------gas prices in the US are ridiculously low compared to most everywhere else.

They all seem pretty much flat to me this year.

Gas $3.65/gallon. Milk $4.29/gallon. Eggs $4-5 per dozen. This had more than doubled in a year but stabilized.

I haven't bought Ramen noodles since college, but looks like they cost about $5 for 12 here. A lot cheaper on Amazon for certain varieties. I used to consider this a meal. I couldn't do that now. Reasonable as a side dish.

Eggs are trending downward right now, $1.28/dozen the other day.
I don't buy milk often enough for it to concern me.
Don't think I've ever bought ramen in my life.
Gasoline fluctuates a bunch, but it's been stablish lately; I just filled up the other day at about $3.45/gallon.

I eat egg whites from a carton, those are $5.25. Used to be $2.99.

I don't drink milk but I picked up a gallon for my nephew not long ago, $3.60; seems lower than earlier in the year when I think it was in the $4 range, but still more expensive than it should be (used to drink a lot of milk, it was like $2.69).

No ramen or gas for me.

Milk seems to be spiking again. I was surprised to see it for $5.29 today. Still cheap for what you get.

For some reason a gallon of Springdale whole milk is $2.59, but a gallon of Borden whole milk is $5.99.

Very interesting how there have been no recent events that should cause a sudden price jump--nothing affected the supply line, nothing triggered increased demand, no government actions have forced a hike in production cost--yet it happened anyway.
Eggs being up some right now makes sense with Easter approaching, but why milk?

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I Googled and found this, I only scanned it but it might be related.
