A lot of other forums/social media are very heavy handed with moderation. Not only the obvious stuff like quashing wrongthink, but any kind of behavioral quirks or any degree of off-topic conversation. It's very stifling, to say the least. I prefer the old days when online discourse was more relaxed and free, but those days are long gone, sadly.
