Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift

One day at GameStop, I was looking around with my stepdad, and he showed me this Final Fantasy Tactics A2 game for the DS. He likes RPGS, and he ased me if I should get this game. Which is a dumb question, since I don't like RPGS. I said "Why not." He bought is, and we went home. He told me to try it to see if I liked it, and I tried it. But it wasn't what I thought it would be. It was a tactical RPG.

I found a new love for Tactical RPGS. Actually, I had already loved them, but I just forgot since I haven't played one in a while. This game brought me back to the tactical RPG genre.

It's actually quite fun and theres alot of quests and strategy to it.

Now that I think about it, I shouldv'e just made a Tactical RPG thread. :/ Hopefully a mod can change the name of the thread for me.

I got it back in August. 169 hours (103/66) and near 100% on the first file. (271 quests on File 1, and 180 something on File 2)

Unfortunately, the strategy of it starts to die off after around 20 hours. That or my parties are just insanely awesome.

It's about 60 hours to complete the story.

Only got two more quests to go. Fun game.

Can't say it was too difficult, though.

I had too many other games I was playing. Very fun game, though. As for Tactical RPGs, I am currently obsessed with Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.

I can't even find FFTA2 at my local game store. I liked FFTA, but I always thought the original FFT was better.

And if you like tactical RPGs, you should definitely check out the Disgaea series if you haven't already.

I gotta tell you this though, while the Assassin nerfs hurt, The Bangaa master monks and Gria more than make up for them. GIMME A GRIA HUNTER OVER AN ASSASSIN!!!

I'm sort of a compulsive type, so I end up planning quest chains far, far in advance. I spent (game) months were I wouldn't do any story quests.

Also, the story is completely weak sauce compared to FFTA for the GBA. Luso is a moron, Cid is dumb, and Adelle is a jerk.

That's really the major flaw of the game.

...and I actually kind of laughed cause I couldn't think of anything better to name Clan Gully so I just named them "Clan PissBagel"
