Elusive Ditto?

Yes, Ditto. I heard from a friend that his stratagey guide had Ditto listed with Pokemon that come from a Pokeball. Anyone see this or hear of it? Its supposedly trasforms into you and beats the snot out of your enemies for one whole minute. And, it was in a Nintendo Power Game Guide.

it was supposed to be in it, but they took it out before release. At least that's what i've heard. Plus i've had it for a long time and never seen it.

My friend said he got it once but I think he's lying.

Ditto's a trophy, but not a Pokeball summon.

Well, the stratagy guide said Ditto was in the game, Ocarina Man. And Hal probably deleted it. The game would be too cheap with it.

I think it had more to do with lag problems than cheapness.

Think of how slow the game can get with a heap of Pokemon around. Now take that and add more to it with a whole character with a larger moveset. There were probably other problems with it to, or unanswered stuff like fighting the Ditto back, what color it'd be, and so on. They probably decided it was too much hassle and left it out at the last minute.. after all the guides had been written in anticipation of the game.

I don't think the GC's got so much lag. The Super Mario 128 video back at that E3 (The one with the 128 Marios running around with no lag at all) pretty much explains my point, I guess.

Open 5 poke balls in a 4-player melee and then tell me that.

He was only made not playable normally. In Debug Mode, he is THERE, as well as the randomizer in Tournament Mode's Winner Out/Loser Out options. Simply put, instead of copying a character, he appears, inflates to a big size(kind of), then does 10 damage to your opponent. Nothing spectacular.

First, get an Action Replay, then go to GameShark Central for the code(make sure you print off/copy down the right version), then read GCNHacker87's site dedicated to it so you don't freeze the game. Also, take your memory card out just in case.

These are the full list of playable characters.

Mario, Pikachu, Link, Yoshi, Captain Falcon, Fox, Zelda, Sheik, Bowser, Peach, Ness, Ice Climbers(Nana & Popo), Kirby, Samus, Marth, Mewtwo, Luigi, Mr. Game & Watch, Jigglypuff, Pichu, Roy, Falco, Ganondorf, Dr. Mario, and Young Link.

These are the full list of playable bosses.

Crazy Hand, Master Hand, Giga Bowser, and Sandbag.

Finally, the excess characters.

Ice Climbers(Popo alone)

Shadow Link is just a recolor of Link, and the Giant/Metal etc. speak for themself.
