NON-RETURNING STAGES

(Not) Featured in: Ultimate
Function: Every past SSB stage is in Ultimate, except....

The Lost:
from SSB64:
--Planet Zebes (too similar to Brinstar)
--Sector Z (too similar to Corneria)
from Melee:
--Flat Zone (merged into Flat Zone X)
--Icicle Mountain (probably caused issues with Stage Morph)
--Mushroom Kingdom Melee (dunno why)
--Mute City (too similar to Port Town Aero Dive)
--Poké Floats (probably caused issues with Stage Morph)
from Brawl:
--Flat Zone 2 (merged into Flat Zone X)
--Pictochat (too similar to Pictochat 2)
--Rumble Falls (probably caused issues with Stage Morph)
from Smash 4:
--Jungle Hijinx (probably caused issues with Stage Morph)
--Miiverse (without the message boards, it's effectively just Battlefield)
--Orbital Gate Assault (probably caused issues with Stage Morph)
--Pac-Maze (dunno why)
--Pyrosphere (dunno why)
--Rainbow Road (too similar to Mario Circuit WiiU)
--Woolly World (probably caused issues with Stage Morph)

On the one hand, nobody liked the vertical scrolling stages in the first place.
On the other hand, Jungle Hijinx was awesome, & a with a lot of the "too similar" ones, they ended up keeping the worse version (Corneria, Brinstar, Mario Circuit).
And on the other other hand, why the effing hell did they keep Pac-Land over Pac-Maze? And can't we still play on Pyrosphere without Ridley?

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I don't think there's any good reason they can't just include all the stages and just allow their use normally or in a limited capacity where necessary. I really liked Pokefloats, despite it being dumb and kinda crappy.
