WORLD OF LIGHT (pt 1)

Featured in: Ultimate
Function: Adventure Mode

Trivia:
--All non-DLC characters can be unlocked through this mode.
--DLC characters become available for use in this mode after freeing 10 fighters.
--This is the only way to obtain Master and boss spirits, as well as the only way to unlock the Gym/Explore/Dojo & the Spirit Shops.
--The mode can be completed with only 21 characters unlocked: Kirby (the starter), Bowser (via the Giga Bowser boss battle), Fox, Simon, Pit, Cloud, Young Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Roy, Dark Samus, Palutena, Bayonetta (all unlocking required routes), Mario, Samus, Sonic, Greninja, Ike, Meta Knight (all standing along required routes), & some pairing of Marth/Pac-Man, Sheik/Yoshi, Villager/Lucario (the crossroads at the beginning).
--Overall, only 198 fights are required out of 615.
--Galeem & Dharkon are the only original characters to WoL; however several past Smash-original characters appear as bosses (Master Hand, Crazy Hand, Galleom, & kinda sorta Giga Bowser) or as other spirits (including several SSE enemies & the various Master forms from Smash 4).
--Rathalos is the only dungeon boss who doesn't appear as a mystery swirl on the map.
--Only 3 map-effect spirits are required: One of Otacon/Susie/Mega.EXE/Proto.EXE (to access the Base), one of Kamek/Kammy/Viridi/Lip/Slippy/ROB64 (to access Galeem), and Lapras (to access the island).
--Other map-effect spirits unlock optional paths via fixing bridges, blowing up rocks, driving vehicles, & making a rainbow.
--This is the first time Master Hand has been playable without hacking the game.
--Spirit Board items cannot be used to enhance your party, but the far-superior Skill Tree is present instead.

Next time, plot & stuff.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
